Anyone tried IDGod recently?
Yeah man, I actually just went through an order with IDGod myself, so I can chime in with my experience. Placed my order about three weeks back now – payment went through without any hiccups, I used BTC like they recommended. Took maybe a day for them to confirm payment and mark it as processing. From there it sat in "in production" for about 9–10 days, which I guess is pretty standard for a group order like theirs. Then they shipped it out and it arrived in about 18 days total from order date. So the timeline was exactly what they advertise – nothing crazy fast but also not late.
Packaging was stealth enough. Came in a plain poly bubble mailer with no branding, return address was just some random residential street in LA. Inside there was just the ID in a small cardboard sleeve, no extra inserts or anything that would raise eyebrows. No customs issues for me since I'm domestic, but I'd still feel comfortable getting this shipped internationally based on the outer packaging.
Communication was so-so. I sent a couple of ticket messages during the production phase just checking the status and got responses within 12–24 hours. Nothing super personal, kind of copy-paste replies, but they answered my questions and didn't ghost me. So I'd call it average for the price point.
Now for the quality – it's decent, not perfect. Honestly, it passes as a real ID if you're using it at a casual bar or a gas station, but someone who handles IDs all day might spot a few tells. The colors are a bit saturated compared to the real state template I've seen, and the raised text isn't as crisp as it should be. Holograms look okay under light, not amazing but they catch the right colors. The microprint is readable with a loupe, which is a plus. However, the lamination feels a little stiff – it's not as flexible as the real thing. Scanning works fine on standard cheap scanners from what I've seen, but I haven't bothered to take it to a more advanced scanner like a Box or something because I don't want to risk it. Overall it works fine for what I need it for.
Value for money – I'd give it a solid 7/10. It's not cheap, but it's not top-tier expensive either. For the price I paid, the quality is fair. You're getting a usable ID that won't make you nervous every time you hand it over, but it's not going to win any awards for accuracy. Pros: decent turnaround time, works for most casual use, good stealth packaging, responsive support. Cons: color matching could be better, lamination feels off, microprint isn't perfect. If you're looking for something that just needs to get the job done without dropping a ton of cash, IDGod is a solid choice. Just don't expect it to fool someone who really knows what to look for.
I've used them twice now. The hologram quality has improved imo. Shipping is still slow tho
@duckfeet what state did you get?
Thinking about placing an order with IDGod. Has anyone ordered from them in the past month or so?
Just wondering about current quality and shipping times. Thanks!
