Best practices for photo submission
About to take my photo for my order and want to make sure I get it right. I've read conflicting info online so hoping to get clarity here. Questions: What color background works best - blue, white, or gray? Should I wear a collared shirt or does it matter? Glasses on or off? How should I do my hair? And what about lighting - natural light or indoor? Also what resolution/file size do most vendors want? Don't want my order delayed because of a bad photo. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Glasses off usually - most real DMV photos don't have them. Plain shirt, doesn't need to be collared.

Natural lighting from a window is great. Face the light source so your face is evenly lit without harsh shadows.

Look at examples of real DMV photos from that state online. Try to match the style as closely as possible.

White or light blue background works best. Make sure there are no shadows behind you.

Most vendors want at least 300 DPI, file size under 5MB. JPG format is standard.
