My photo keeps failing to upload. Getting an error message. What should I try?

Yeah, this is a super common issue — honestly, I see it all the time, especially if you're on an older or less common browser. I've dealt with it myself more times than I'd like to admit. The symptoms usually start with the page either not loading at all, getting stuck on a spinner, or throwing up some generic "something went wrong" error right when you try to move past the initial form or payment step. Sometimes it'll even let you fill everything out and then just freeze or give you a blank screen when you hit submit. It's almost always a browser compatibility thing, not a problem with the site itself.

So first thing — don't just jump straight to a new browser. Try clearing your cache and cookies for that specific site first, then force a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). If that doesn't fix it, the next thing I'd do is disable any extensions you're running, especially ad blockers or privacy tools like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger. Those can mess with the scripting the site uses to validate forms or load ID previews. If it's still acting up after all that, that's when you swap browsers. Chrome and Firefox are usually the safest bets; Edge works too if you're on Windows. I've seen Safari cause issues more often than not, and anything based on Chromium like Brave or Opera can be kind of finicky depending on their built-in shields.

The fix is pretty straightforward — just pop open a different browser, log in again, and try the process from scratch. In my experience, that resolves it 9 times out of 10. For prevention, keep your main browser updated to the latest version, and if you know you'll be using a certain vendor's site regularly, it's worth bookmarking a secondary browser specifically for that purpose. That way you don't have to mess around with clearing caches every time. Also, avoid using private/incognito mode for the whole process — some sites block critical scripts in that mode. Stick to a normal session in a supported browser and you'll save yourself a lot of headaches.
