Complete newbie guide needed - Never ordered before

posted by jwellz1234 9 months ago 748 views 4 comments
Hi everyone, I'm completely new to this and honestly pretty nervous. I'm in college and need an ID to go out with my friends. I'm 20 and everyone else is 21+ so I'm always left out. I have so many questions: 1. How do I even pay? I don't have Bitcoin 2. What state should I get if I live in Florida but go to school in Georgia? 3. How long does the whole process take? 4. Is there a risk of getting in legal trouble just for ordering? 5. Which vendor is most reliable for first-timers? I've read through the subreddit but there's so much information I'm overwhelmed. Can someone give me a simple step-by-step guide? Also is it worth getting a backup/duplicate ID in the same order?

One more tip - when you fill out the order form, don't use your real address. Use a friend's place or somewhere you can safely receive mail. Also use a fake name that you can remember easily.

Hey! Okay, I'll answer your questions for ya:

1. So for payment, most vendors take Cashapp, Zelle, or Bitcoin — tbh, Bitcoin's kind of the go-to. But yeah, for domestic vendors, Cashapp works just fine, y'know?

2. I mean, pick a state you're familiar with, y'know? But like, definitely not Florida or Georgia. Honestly, I'd go with Ohio or Pennsylvania instead – those're pretty solid.

3. So domestic orders usually take, like, 1-2 weeks. International ones? Tbh, those can take a solid 3-4 weeks.

4. Honestly, the risk's pretty minimal for personal use. Just don't order, like, 50 IDs, lol.

5. If you're a first timer, I'd probably go with OldIronsidesFakes – tbh, they're reliable, they ship domestic, and the quality's pretty good.

Honestly, always get a duplicate – IDs get, like, lost or taken all the time.

Blue or grey background works best. Make sure lighting is even, no shadows on your face. Don't smile, neutral expression. Look at real ID photos for reference. Vendors can photoshop the background but better if you start with the right color.

Thanks so much! This is really helpful. I'll probably go with OISF then. One more question - how do I take a good photo for the ID? Do I need a specific background color?
