Evolved IDs - Are they still operating? Can't access website
Yeah I'm not stressing yet, they've had random site outages before and always came back. My last order went smooth, good turnaround time, and vendor communication was pretty solid throughout. I'd say give them another week before writing it off. If you're feeling nervous and haven't pulled the trigger yet, you could always hold off until the site's back. That way you won't be stuck wondering if they exit scammed.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat — can't access the site either. I was literally about to post the same thing. It's been down for a couple days now and I'm starting to get that sinking feeling. I really hope they didn't exit scam because my last order from them was solid, but now I'm worried.
For anyone who hasn't dealt with them before, here's what happened with an order I placed about a month ago. I'll walk through the timeline and other stuff so you can compare.
Ordering timeline: Placed the order on a Tuesday evening. Got a confirmation email in about an hour. Payment went through fine (they used BTC back then). Expected delivery was 10-14 business days. On the 8th business day I got a shipping notification with a tracking number that actually worked after a day or so. Package landed on the 12th business day. So pretty standard turnaround — no complaints there.
Packaging stealth: Came in a standard bubble mailer with no return address that'd raise any eyebrows. Inside was a folded piece of cardboard wrapped in a plain plastic sleeve. The ID itself was tucked between two layers of card stock so it wouldn't bend. No crazy extra decoys or anything, but it looked like just another piece of junk mail. Definitely passable for domestic stealth.
Communication speed: For that order, they were actually pretty responsive. Emailed them once about a small detail on the order form and got a reply in about 6 hours during their stated business hours. But obviously now that's gone dark. I've tried reaching out to the same email address the past two days and got nothing back. That's the biggest red flag for me.
Value for money (VFM) rating: I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10 at the time. The price was reasonable for the quality you got — not the cheapest out there but not top-tier either. Felt like you were paying for decent craftsmanship without going overboard. If they're gone for good, that's a loss for the mid-range market.
Specific pros and cons from my experience:
Pros: The ID itself had pretty good color matching and the microprint looked sharp under a loupe. The holograms were correctly aligned and had that slight color shift you'd expect. The material felt right — not too flimsy, not too thick. The photoshop work on the photo they did for me was clean, no weird cutout edges or shadows that looked off.
Cons: The raised text was a little inconsistent — some letters were slightly more raised than others. Not a dealbreaker for casual use but if you hand it to someone who knows what to feel for, it could raise suspicion. The back side had a faint line from the lamination process you could see under direct light. Again, nothing that'd get you busted at a gas station, but a seasoned bouncer might pick up on it. Also, the UV layer was decent but the colors were a bit too saturated compared to the real thing — not terrible, just not perfect.
Overall I was happy with that order, but now with the site down and no communication, I'm definitely not ordering again till I see some proof they're still around. Really hope this is just a temporary server issue or a domain renewal hiccup. But the silence kinda makes me lean towards exit scam. You'd think if it were just a tech problem they'd update somewhere, even a quick message on socials or a pinned post. Nada so far.
Let me know if anyone else has managed to get through or heard anything. I'll update if I get a reply to my email.
