Evolved IDs customer service is amazing
So I finally got around to placing an order with Evolved after reading a ton of reviews here. Just wanted to share my experience because honestly, their customer service blew me away – I think that deserves a proper write-up.
I went with a California since that's my home state and I wanted something that'd hold up in-state, plus grabbed a Michigan as a backup. The ordering process was pretty straightforward – you fill out the form, upload your photo, pay, and then the waiting game begins. I placed my order on a Wednesday evening. They confirmed payment within a few hours, which was nice. Then it took about 4-5 business days before I got the "in production" email. After that, shipping was pretty quick – I think it was another 5-7 days for domestic. Total turnaround was roughly two and a half weeks from order to mailbox. Not the fastest I've seen, but far from the slowest.
Packaging stealth was decent. Came in a plain bubble mailer with no return address that'd raise eyebrows. Inside, the ID was sandwiched between two thin pieces of cardboard, and there was a small piece of paper with an order number but no obvious branding. No weird smells or extra packing peanuts that'd make you go "what's this?" If a parent or roommate handled the package, they'd just think it was some random online purchase. Nothing that screamed "fake ID" at a glance.
Communication speed was the real standout for me. I had a small issue with my photo resolution being borderline, so I shot them a message through their website contact form. I got a reply within maybe 3-4 hours, which is honestly better than a lot of vendors I've dealt with. They were polite, patient, and actually explained what they needed from me. No generic copy-paste responses. When I followed up later to ask about the shipping estimate, they replied within the same day again. That level of responsiveness is rare in this game. Some vendors ghost you for days or weeks, but Evolved was on top of it.
As for value for money, I'd say they're a solid 8.5 out of 10. You're not getting the absolute cheapest option out there, but you're also not paying premium "VIP" prices. The cost is mid-range, and for what you get – especially on the CA and MI – it's well worth it. If you're someone who needs a flawless ID for strict use and you're willing to pay a bit more for quality and support, this is a strong pick.
Now for the pros and cons. Pros: The CA and MI templates are really well done. The colors match, the microprint is crisp, and the UV holds up under a blacklight. The raised text on the CA is properly layered, not too thick or thin. The Michigan also has that glossy laminate feel that matches the real thing. Customer service is definitely among the best I've experienced. They're responsive and helpful, which goes a long way when you're dealing with custom orders. Cons: The turnaround time could be a little faster, especially since some vendors manage under two weeks total. Also, while the packaging was stealthy, there was no major extra layer like a decoy item or a secondary envelope. It's fine for domestic, but if your mail situation is really strict, that's something to consider. The price is fair but not a steal.
Overall, I'm impressed. If you're looking for a top-tier CA or MI, Evolved is a safe bet. The customer service alone makes them worth considering, and the product quality backs it up. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.
