Hey man, I'm in the exact same boat as you. Ordered from Evolved IDs about a week and a half ago — actually, it's been 11 days now. Payment was marked as received within a few hours, and the whole process seemed smooth at first. Then about three or four days ago I tried to check the status on their site and got nothing but a blank page or a DNS error. Still down as of this morning. It's pretty nerve-wracking because I was counting on these for an upcoming trip.
Let me lay out my timeline so we can compare notes. I placed the order on a Wednesday evening, got the "payment received" confirmation Thursday morning. No changes for the next 5–6 days, which I thought was normal since most vendors take a week or so to produce. Then last Saturday I tried to log into my account and the site wouldn't load. Tried from different browsers, cleared cache, even used a VPN in case it was a geo-block thing — nothing. That was 4 days ago now. I've sent two emails to the contact address they had listed on the site (before it went down) but haven't gotten a single reply. So communication speed went from decent (same-day on the payment notice) to completely dead. That's a bit of a red flag.
As for packaging stealth, I can't really comment because I haven't received anything yet. I'd assume they would use the usual bubble mailer or maybe a plain cardboard envelope, but without the actual shipment I have no clue. Usually these guys are pretty good about discrete packaging, but missing site and no tracking number makes me wonder if it's even shipped. If anyone else has received a pack from them recently, could you chime in on what the packaging was like? That would at least confirm they're still fulfilling orders.
Value for money is tough to rate when you might not get the product. Before the site went dark, I thought the pricing was reasonable for the quality I'd heard about — definitely not the cheapest, but also not top-tier pricing. I'd probably give it a 3/5 for VFM right now, simply because the uncertainty nullifies any savings. Pros so far: the ordering process was straightforward, payment was accepted fast, and the old website looked professional. Cons: the site going down without any notice, zero communication since, and the nagging doubt about whether the IDs will ever show up. That's a pretty big con, honestly.
Anyone else have recent experience? Did your order eventually arrive after the site went down, or did you have to file a dispute? I'm trying to decide if I should start looking for a backup vendor or hold out hope that they'll come through. Let me know what you've heard.
