Side-by-side physical comparison of an EvolvedIDs card and a KingOfFakes card I received within the same week. Same state, same tier, roughly the same price point. The differences were real but not dramatic.
Print quality
The EvolvedIDs card had slightly crisper text in the small-font data fields — address, restrictions, document number. Under a loupe the letter edges were cleaner. The KingOfFakes card was very close but showed minor ink spread in the smallest characters. At normal viewing distance this wasn't visible.
Portrait zone color reproduction was comparable on both. Skin tones on my submitted photo rendered accurately on the EvolvedIDs card; the KingOfFakes version was very slightly cooler in tone but not in a way that would stand out unless you placed them next to each other.
Laminate and tactile feel
The EvolvedIDs card had a denser, more rigid feel. Flex test — bending slightly between thumb and forefinger — produced less give than the KingOfFakes card. Neither cracked or showed stress marks. Edge finishing was clean on both, though the EvolvedIDs card had slightly rounder corner bevels.
UV and optical
Both cards showed UV elements in the correct positions. The EvolvedIDs UV pattern had more defined line boundaries. KingOfFakes had some edge bleed on the fine-line elements, visible under direct 365nm illumination but not under casual UV checking with a keychain light.
The holographic element on both cards shifted color correctly across the standard viewing angle. No meaningful difference there.
My summary: EvolvedIDs is marginally better in print precision and card rigidity. KingOfFakes is close enough that the difference wouldn't matter for most uses, and their turnaround was three days faster on this pair of orders. For high-scrutiny situations I'd prefer the EvolvedIDs card. For everyday collector use, either is fine.
For anyone choosing between the two based on this comparison: EvolvedIDs is the stronger card at close inspection, KingOfFakes is the faster order. Whether that tradeoff matters depends entirely on how your specific situation weighs print precision against turnaround time.
