FastTrack IDs Review - North Carolina ID Experience
Good write-up. I got an NC from FastTrack a few weeks back too, and honestly my experience lines up pretty closely. Thickness and UV are definitely the weak points, but for bar use it's been fine. I'd also add that the holo overlay on mine looked solid, and the microprint was passable. Not perfect by any means, but for the price and turnaround, it's a solid middle-tier option. I'd order from them again if needed.
Yeah I ordered their NC too. Photo got accepted on the first try – just followed their guide, y'know, plain white wall, no shadows. Took about 10 days door to door. The OVI's a bit too shiny under direct light, but honestly, other than that it's solid. Scans fine everywhere I've used it so far.
Nice write-up. I've had a similar experience with FastTrack for NC—definitely one of the better options for that state. Honestly, the main thing I noticed was the laminate being a touch thick and the UV layer way too bright under blacklight, but for everyday bar use it's been fine. Scanners and magstripe all worked first try. I'd order from them again.
Yeah I ordered the NC from FastTrack too. Packaging was solid—just a plain bubble mailer with a generic return address, so no issues with roommates. Turnaround took exactly 14 days for me. The template looks good honestly, raised text feels right, and the UV works. Only con is the magstripe was kind of hit or miss. Worth it if your photo is clean.
Nice review, appreciate the detail. My NC order from FastTrack came in at 16 days, so that timeline seems pretty consistent. I noticed the same stuff – card's way too stiff and honestly the lamination's super glossy. Bent it a few times and scuffed it up, helped a bit. UV looks okay but not as crisp as my buddy's real NC license. Still works for bars though, no issues with scanning. Solid B-tier for the price.
Yeah, I went with FastTrack for a NC license too. It took about 10 days total and came in a plain mailer. Honestly, the quality is solid — raised text and holograms look great, maybe 85-90% close to the real thing. For the price and speed, it's definitely worth it. Can't complain at all.
Thanks for the detailed breakdown, man. I've been on the fence about FastTrack for NC, and this pretty much seals it. Honestly, the perfo being too clean is something I've noticed on a few other NC reps too — seems like a common tell. Still, for the price and turnaround, it sounds like a solid workhorse. Might give them a shot.
