Feature not working

My photo keeps failing to upload. Getting an error message. What should I try?

Yeah, this sounds like the classic "barcode is dead" situation to me. I've been through it where everything on the page loads fine but the interactive bits just stop responding, and usually it's the JS breaking somewhere silently. Definitely try the cache clear first — that fixed it for me more than once.

One thing I'd add: if you're dealing with any scanning or data input on that feature, check for a data parsing error or AAMVA compliance issue on the back end. Sometimes the whole thing just throws a red flag and refuses to respond. Good luck with it.

Yeah, I've had that exact thing happen before. For me, it turned out to be a stale cache causing the page to hang. I'd say clear your browser cache and try again—that usually fixes the dead interactive parts. If it's still stuck, check the console for any JavaScript errors or stuff like an unrecognized PDF417 string format—that can sometimes throw a red flag on the login side and freeze things up. Worked for me!

Hey everyone, so I ran into this issue where a feature just wasn't working — for me it was, like, the login button doing nothing after I clicked it, and the whole page just sat there. Everything else loaded fine, but the interactive parts seemed dead. After poking around a bit, it was the usual suspects: JavaScript errors, browser extensions, or a stale cache.

Honestly, the first thing you should try is clearing your browser cache and cookies. I know it sounds like a cliché fix, but it solves a ton of these “feature not working” problems. When your browser stores an old copy of the site's CSS, JavaScript, or session data, it can conflict with newer code on the server. That's why you get buttons that don't respond, dropdowns that won't open, or forms that fail silently. Clearing the cache forces the browser to fetch fresh files from the server.

Here's what I usually do: in Chrome, go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear Browsing Data. Just make sure you select “Cached images and files” and optionally “Cookies and other site data” if you're okay logging back in. I set the time range to “All time.” Firefox is pretty similar, and on Edge you can hit Ctrl+Shift+Del to bring up the clear data window. After clearing, close the browser completely, reopen it, and try the feature again. If it works? You're golden.

As for prevention, try to get in the habit of clearing your cache every couple of weeks — especially if you visit a lot of beta or frequently updated sites. Another trick is testing features in an incognito/private window first, which bypasses the cache by default. So if it works there, you know your cached data is the problem. One more pro tip: hit Ctrl+F5 (or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac) for a hard refresh that bypasses the cache on a single page — that can save you a full cleanup if only one site is acting up.

If clearing cache doesn't fix it, then you're probably dealing with a browser extension conflict or a server-side issue. But start with this — nine times out of ten it does the trick.

Make sure its under the file size limit. Try compressing it

Try a different browser if it keeps failing
