Finally got my order from TopFakes - quick review

Ordering timeline: I placed the order on a Monday evening, payment confirmed the next morning. QC pics came in about 4 days later, which was a bit slower than I'd hoped, but they looked good. It shipped out on day 6 after payment. Delivery took about 10 days to a midwest state using standard mail – tracking didn't go live until it hit customs. Total from order to mailbox was 16 days, which is pretty average for this vendor from what I've seen. Customs held it for 3 days, but that seems normal for a plain envelope.

Packaging stealth: It came in a plain white bubble mailer, with a generic return address and a residential address in a neighboring state. Inside was a folded piece of cardstock with the ID taped between two sheets of thin cardboard – no extra crinkling or anything that looked suspicious. The envelope itself didn't have any logos or tape that stood out. For a single ID, that's about as stealthy as you'd want. No vacuum seal or anything fancy, but it passed the sniff test – my roommates thought it was a junk mail greeting card.

Communication speed: I used the website chat feature once to ask about turnaround time. Got a reply in about 8 hours, which was reasonable given timezone differences. The response was polite but very copy-paste – they didn't seem to know my order number offhand until I gave it. After QC, they sent an automated shipping notice, but no manual follow-up. So communication is fine for basic questions, but don't expect hand-holding.

VFM rating: I'd give it a 7/10. The price was on the lower end for domestic-ish IDs, but the quality matches. You're not getting a $300 marvel, but for under $100 it's solid. Would I order again? Maybe, if I needed a backup. But there are better values if you're willing to wait a bit more for a higher-tier vendor.

On the positive side, the fast domestic shipping once it clears customs was a plus, and the payment process was reliable – they used a standard anonymous payment method that worked first try. The template itself is pretty accurate for the state I got – microprint is readable under a loupe, raised text is decent, and the UV held up under a blacklight. Also, the back of the ID had the correct barcode format, which scanned fine on a basic app.

But there are some downsides. The photo edit was a bit washed out – I sent a clean selfie but the final image came back slightly lighter, so my face looks a little bleached. The laminate had a tiny air bubble near the corner, but it's not visible unless you look closely. Holograms are good but not perfectly aligned – off by maybe 1mm. And the signature line is a hair thinner than the real ones I've compared. Also, the turnaround time could be more consistent; I've seen others get QC in 2 days while I waited 4.

Overall, for a first order I'm satisfied. It's not perfect, but it'll pass a casual glance or a bouncer who isn't hyper-analyzing. If you're in a strict state or plan to use it at places with UV scanners, you might want to look at a higher-end option.
