First time ordering - what should I know?

posted by soccertman10 10 months ago 652 views 6 comments
Hi everyone, found this forum through a friend and I'm looking to make my first order. I've been reading through posts for the past few days but still have some questions. 1. How do I know which vendors are legit vs scams? There seem to be a lot of options on the vendors page. 2. Is it safe to use my real address for shipping or should I use somewhere else? 3. What payment methods are safest? I've seen Bitcoin mentioned a lot. 4. How long should I expect the whole process to take from order to delivery? 5. Are there any red flags I should watch out for? I'm in college and basically just need it for the usual stuff. Budget is around $100-150. Any advice would be really appreciated! I already checked the site guidelines but wanted to get community input too. Thanks in advance!

Honestly, the search bar is your best friend here—so many of these are noob questions that have been answered a dozen times. Don't skip the sticky threads either, they're basically a step-by-step tutorial for getting started. For the photo, I'd add that a plain wall with decent lighting is fine, no need for a pro setup. Just make sure your signature background isn't cluttered either. Take your time and you'll be fine.

Welcome! I'll answer your questions: 1. **Legit vendors**: Stick to our trusted vendors list. Check the vendor reviews and look for consistent positive feedback over time, not just recent reviews. 2. **Address**: Use your real address. Using a fake address or PO box is actually more suspicious. The package looks like normal mail. 3. **Payment**: Bitcoin or other crypto is standard. It's anonymous and secure. Some vendors take other payments but crypto is preferred. 4. **Timeline**: Expect 2-4 weeks total. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower. Don't order if you need it by a specific date. 5. **Red flags**: - Prices way lower than other vendors - Vendor asking you to pay outside their normal system - No reviews or only brand new reviews - Poor English/communication - Pressure to order quickly At your budget you have good options. Check the vendor comparison threads.

So yeah, here are a few things I've learned the hard way – lol.

- Use a photo with good lighting and a clean background. And tbh, make sure you check the vendor's photo requirements.
- Double-check everything before you hit submit. Seriously, once you've ordered, typos can't be fixed, so like, don't rush it. Honestly.
- Save all your confirmation emails and order numbers. Trust me, you'll need 'em.
- Don't talk about your order outside of secure forums like this. Honestly, that's pretty much asking for trouble.
- Just be patient – it's not like Amazon Prime, lol.

The help center's got detailed guides on photo requirements and the ordering process.

Anyway, good luck!

Phone photo is fine as long as: - Good lighting (natural light is best) - Solid color background (white or blue wall) - No shadows on your face - You're looking straight at camera - No glasses or hats - High resolution For signature, just sign on white paper with black pen, take a clear photo of it, and crop it. Most vendors on our verified list have templates or tools on their site to help with this.

Read the newbie guide on our forum homepage if you haven't already. It covers pretty much everything you need to know. Also use the search function before posting questions - most common questions have been answered many times. Not trying to be rude, just trying to help you find info faster! The search function is your friend. Also check out the forum rules.

This is super helpful, thank you! One more question - for the photo, can I just take it with my phone or do I need to go somewhere to get it taken? And what about the signature?
