Has anyone successfully gotten a refund or reprint?

My ID arrived but the hologram is completely messed up - looks like it was applied crooked and there's a bubble under it. Contacted the vendor through their ticket system 2 days ago but haven't heard back yet. Their site says they offer reprints for "manufacturing defects" but I'm worried they might say this is within acceptable tolerance or something. The ID is basically unusable, you can see the bubble from a mile away. For those who've had to request reprints: 1. How long did the vendor take to respond? 2. Did they actually honor the reprint or fight you on it? 3. Do I need to send the defective ID back first or do they send the new one first? 4. Is it better to ask for a reprint or just request a refund and go with a different vendor? I paid $110 for this and I'm pretty disappointed. The vendor has good reviews here which is why I'm trying to give them a chance to make it right, but I don't want to waste weeks going back and forth if they're just going to deny the claim. Any experiences would be helpful!

Give it a few more days before you panic. Customer service responsiveness can be hit or miss depending on how swamped they are, and 48 hours is still inside most reply windows. I had a similar crooked hologram once and they eventually reprint it, just took some polite back-and-forth and a clear photo of the defect. Definitely keep pushing if it's genuinely unusable though. If they stonewall you, that tells you something about the vendor.

I feel you on the hologram thing—that would drive me insane. Two days isn't crazy though, especially if they're swamped with orders. I'd give it one more day, then bump the ticket. Most legit vendors will make it right on a manufacturer defect like that. The turnaround time kind of reveals their customer service responsiveness, real quick. When my vendor came through on a crooked barcode, it took about a week total, but they did replace it without hassle. If they ghost you, that says a lot about the order process.

I've been there with a messed up hologram too - super frustrating. Two days isn't unheard of for vendor communication, especially if they're busy. I'd give it a couple more days then follow up. Generally speaking, my experience is that a legit vendor will want to fix QC issues to keep customers happy. Most care about their reputation more than arguing over one order. Just keep the ticket updated so there's a paper trail. Most will eventually come through on reprints for obvious manufacturing defects.

Honestly, two days isn't too crazy for vendor communication — some folks are just slow to respond. I've had a similar QC issue before and waited almost a week for a reply before they said it was "within tolerance" and no reprint. Pics definitely help your case, but I'd temper expectations. If your order process was smooth otherwise and they're generally a legit vendor, they might come through — just don't hold your breath overnight. Customer service responsiveness can be hit or miss.

Oh man, that hologram issue would bug me too. I had a similar QC problem once, and I just waited a bit longer—customer service responsiveness isn't always instant. Once I took clear photos, my vendor came through with a reprint after about five days, no refund though. Check their ticket system again if you haven't, and maybe mention the bubble w You usually have to be patient with the order process when it comes to issues like this. Stick with it, most legit vendors will make it right.

I've been in a similar spot before. Two days isn't great, but some vendors can be hit or miss with customer service responsiveness—especially during busy times. I'd give it a few more days, then follow up with clear photos of the issue. Most legit vendors will make it right if it's a clear defect. Just don't expect a miracle on turnaround time; reprints often take as long as the first order. Hopefully your vendor comes through for you.

I'd document it well with photos where the bubble and crooked hologram are obvious, then wait a bit longer. Two days isn't that unusual for vendor communication, depends how busy they are. If they have decent customer service responsiveness, they should handle it. I've had a vendor come through on a reprint for a similar defect, so it's worth being patient before pulling the trigger on disputing the charge.

I got a reprint once when my ID had a printing error. Took photos showing the issue and vendor sent a new one no questions asked. Refunds are harder to get though.

Depends on the vendor. Most reputable ones will do a reprint if there's a defect. Refunds are rare. Document the issue with photos and contact them ASAP.

If it's the vendor's fault (poor quality, wrong info, etc) most will reprint. If it's your fault (wrong photo, wrong info you provided) probably not. Always worth asking though.
