Good call checking the changelog first — I did the same before I pulled the trigger on mine and it saved me from ordering an outdated design. The order process itself was smooth, and turnaround time was actually better than I expected. Honestly the customer service responsiveness is what stood out most — they replied same day when I asked about a template that had just changed. Nice to have a legit vendor that keeps up with DMV updates.

Yep, you're spot on. I checked the changelog before I finally pulled the trigger on my last order, and it's updated pretty fast when states change stuff. The order process was smooth, and their customer service responsiveness made it feel legit. Only downside is turnaround time can sometimes be a week behind the site's posted timeline, so don't sweat it if it's a day or two late.

Yeah, I can confirm what you're saying. I've been ordering from them for a little while now, and the template situation is something I keep an eye on too. They do push updates pretty regularly whenever a state changes their physical ID design – new fonts, layout tweaks, microprint placement changes, stuff like that. I've noticed they usually roll those out within a couple of weeks of the real DMV change being reported. That said, I wouldn't just assume the version you're seeing on the site is 100% current. I learned that the hard way once – ordered what I thought was the latest, but a minor UV element had been updated a month prior and the listing hadn't been refreshed yet. So making a habit of shooting a quick message to support before you place an order is the move.

To give you the full picture, here's how my most recent order went down timeline-wise: I placed an order on a Monday evening. Received QC photos the following Friday – so about 4 days turnaround on that. Gave the green light Saturday morning. It went into production and I got a shipping notification the next Tuesday. Then it took about 9 days from that shipping notification to hit my mailbox. So from order to in-hand, around 17-18 days total. That's been fairly consistent across my orders with them.

Packaging-wise it was a standard bubble mailer with no return address that screams anything. Just a plain label with a generic company name – nothing that would raise eyebrows if a roommate or parent grabbed the mail. Inside, the card was sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard in a little plastic sleeve. Nothing fancy, but it does the job for domestic.

Communication was solid. I messaged support through their ticket system about the current template version before ordering, and they got back to me within about 6 hours with a clear answer – even sent me a side-by-side of the old vs new layout so I could see the difference. That level of detail is appreciated.

Value for money: I'd say it's a solid 8/10. You're not paying premium "bespoke" prices, but you're getting a card that passes basic light tests and has the right feel in hand. For the price bracket, the regular template updates are a big plus – you're not stuck with an outdated card a few months after purchase like some other vendors I've tried.

Pros? Responsive support, they actually track state-level changes and update accordingly, shipping speed is average to slightly above, and packaging is discreet enough. The "just ask for the latest version" policy is good because it forces you to be engaged rather than blindly ordering. On the flip side, the fact that the site or listing doesn't always reflect the very latest template means you have to do that extra step of asking. A few times I've gotten a version that was close but had a slightly off microprint pattern compared to what the real state uses – not a dealbreaker, but worth noting if you're a stickler. Also, turnaround time can vary – one order took nearly three weeks from QC to shipping because they claimed a new update had just been pushed and they wanted to apply it to my order. I appreciated the effort, but the delay was a little annoying.

Bottom line: if you're ordering from them, definitely reach out first to confirm the template version. It's a small step that saves you from getting something that's already a generation behind.
