ID scans but won't work with ID checking apps?
Got my ID last week and it scans fine at the self-checkout and on basic scanners, but when I tested it with some ID verification apps, it shows invalid.
Is this normal? Will this be a problem at actual bars/clubs or do they use different scanning tech?
The vendor said all their IDs pass advanced scanners but now I'm worried. Has anyone else experienced this?

Don't worry about the apps. I've tested multiple IDs that work perfectly fine in real situations but fail those apps. They're not accurate representations of what bouncers actually use.

I had the same issue! Turns out those apps use different validation methods than what bars actually use. Mine failed on the apps but has worked perfectly at every bar I've been to.
