IDGod vs OldIronsides - Which vendor has better quality for California?
Hey everyone, I'm looking to get a California ID and I'm torn between IDGod and OldIronsides. I've heard mixed reviews about both. Can anyone share their recent experiences with either vendor for CA IDs?
Specifically interested in:
- UV quality
- Holograms
- Micro-print
- Scanning reliability

I've had the same debate before. Older reviews were all over the place, but I eventually pulled the trigger on OldIronsides for my CA and haven't regretted it. UV and microprint are clean, and the holograms line up well under light. My buddy went with IDGod and had to wait forever on customer service to address a scan issue. The order process was fine with OldIronsides, but turnaround time took a week longer than quoted. Stealth packaging was solid though. Piece of mind is worth the extra cash.

I used OldIronsides for my CA ID about 2 months ago. The quality is excellent - UV looks perfect under blacklight and it scans every time. Shipping took 3 weeks though. Never tried IDGod for CA so can't compare.

Go with OldIronsides for CA. IDGod's California has issues with the raised text - it's too pronounced and easy to spot if someone knows what to look for. OIS nails the micro-details.

IDGod CA IDs are hit or miss. I've ordered twice - first one was great, second one had slightly off colors. For the price though, it's decent. OldIronsides is more expensive but more consistent from what I hear.

Thanks for all the feedback! Sounds like OldIronsides is the safer bet even if it costs more. I'd rather pay extra than get a subpar ID.
