IDViking Review - Ordered Florida, Super Impressed
Appreciate you sharing this. I almost pulled the trigger on IDViking but was waiting to see more recent reviews. Good to know the turnaround time was solid — that's usually my biggest worry. How was the stealth packaging? I've had mixed experiences with other vendors in that department, and some just toss it in a regular envelope. Sounds like they actually care about the order process, which is refreshing these days.
Yeah, I ended up going with IDViking for a Florida and honestly I was super impressed with the whole process. I know a lot of people are on the fence about 'em, so I figured I’d drop my experience here in case it helps someone out.
Placed the order on a Tuesday evening, got the confirmation email right away. Payment went through smoothly—they take crypto and some other options, I used Bitcoin. No hiccups there. I received the “QC” photos about 4 days later on Saturday morning, which was faster than I expected. Gave the OK same day, and they shipped it out Monday. With standard shipping (no rush) it landed in my mailbox about 10 days after the QC approval. So from order to doorstep it was roughly 16 days total. Pretty reasonable for the price point.
Came in a plain bubble mailer with no return address that looked like typical Amazon junk mail. Inside was a thin sleeve, and the ID was tucked between two pieces of cardboard. No foreign postmarks, no weird customs forms, just a domestic-looking envelope. Handled the heat and bending fine. If someone else opened it they'd probably think it was a credit card offer.
I didn’t have to reach out much, but they responded to one email I sent about the shipping method within a few hours. Their support seems pretty lean but they’re not ghosting people like some other vendors I’ve tried. The QC photo request came with a note asking me to double-check the UV and microprint, which was a nice touch—shows they actually care about the details.
I got the 2023 template (the newer one with the raised birth year and the stronger guilloche pattern). The colors are spot on—that pale blue gradient with the orange state outline pops nicely. The holograms are crisp, the seal in the corner reflects light at the right angle, and the raised text on the DOB is tactile. The back barcode scans and the magnetic stripe reads when I tested it against a cheap reader. Microprint is clear under a loupe. UV is present and bright, though the state seal under UV could be slightly sharper, but I’ve seen worse even from real IDs. The lamination is solid—no peeling so far.
On the plus side, excellent template accuracy, fast turnaround, good stealth packaging, and they include a duplicate if you check that box during ordering (I didn’t, but I wish I had). Price is fair for the quality—you’re not paying premium but you’re not getting a cheap PVC card either.
As for cons, the raised text is a little more “bumpy” than genuine Florida IDs I’ve compared it to—it’s not perfectly smooth to the touch. The photo clarity is fine but could be a tad sharper if you zoom in real close. Also, they don’t offer priority shipping to every country, so if you’re not in the US, account for extra time. The website experience is a bit dated, but it works.
Overall, for the price I’d give them a solid 8/10. Value for money is high—you’re getting near-premium template quality without the premium waiting time. If you’re looking at ordering a Florida, I’d say go with the 2023 template. Just be patient with the shipping and double-check your photo and signature before you approve QC. Happy to answer any other questions if anyone’s on the fence.
