Just got my order from IDGod - First impressions

posted by Isabella 9 months ago 437 views 3 comments

Hey everyone! Finally received my order after 3 weeks of waiting. Overall pretty impressed with the quality.

The holograms look solid and the UV features are there. Template looks good compared to the scans I found online.

Will update once I actually use it somewhere. Anyone else ordered from them recently?

Thanks guys! Took about 3 weeks from payment to delivery. Barcode scans fine, tested it with an app.

The UV is usually on point with them. Make sure to check if the barcode scans properly too.

Just got my order from IDGod - here are my first impressions. Figured I'd do a quick write-up since these guys always come up around here. I know they've been around forever, but I wanted to share my actual experience for anyone on the fence.

Ordering Timeline
Placed the order on a Monday. Payment went through fine via the usual crypto route. Order status showed "Processing" for about 4 days, then switched to "Shipped". From that point, domestic shipping took roughly 10 business days. Total timeline from order to mailbox was about 2.5 weeks. I'm in the US, so YMMV depending on where you're located. No tracking number was provided, which is standard for most novelty ID vendors, but it did arrive in a standard USPS envelope.

Packaging Stealth
The envelope was plain, white, with a standard return address that looked like a generic business name. No logos, no foreign stamps, nothing that would scream "this is an ID". Inside, the card was sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard, which kept it from bending. They also wrapped it in a thin layer of bubble wrap. Honestly, it would pass a casual glance. The envelope itself wasn't taped shut in a suspicious way — just normal adhesive. Solid stealth for domestic shipping. If you're ordering internationally, I've heard they use a different method, but I can't speak to that.

Communication Speed
I didn't reach out to customer support, so I can't comment on response time directly. But from what I've read in other reviews, IDGod's support is notoriously slow. They do have a ticket system on their site, but prepare to wait a few days if you have an issue. I saw no reason to contact them since everything went smoothly. If you're the type who wants constant updates, this vendor might not be for you.

Value for Money (VFM) Rating
For the price point, I'd give it a solid 7.5/10. Not the cheapest option out there, but not the most expensive either. You're paying for a reliable, well-known vendor with a long track record. The quality is consistent, but you're not getting top-tier perfection. It's a good middle ground.

Pros
Consistent quality across different state templates. The one I ordered looks fine under normal light and passes the flip test. Odds of seizure are low due to domestic reshipping network (at least in my experience). No minimum order quantity for most states, which is nice if you just need one or two. And longevity — the vendor has been around for years, so you're not risking a fresh startup.

Cons
Communication is basically non-existent unless you're persistent. Shipping times can be unpredictable. I've seen reports from 10 days to over a month. Some details on the card are slightly off compared to a real ID — microprint and UV placement are okay but not perfect. For a casual bar or store, it'll work, but don't expect to fool a TSA agent with it. No tracking provided unless you specifically ask (and even then, you might not get it).

Overall, I'm happy with the order. It got here, it looks decent, and it does the job. IDGod is definitely "reliable" in the sense that they deliver. Just don't expect white glove service. If you have specific questions about the template or state I ordered, feel free to ask. Happy to help out the community.
