New package from MagicIDs tracking

I've been tracking my MagicIDs package since shipping confirmation and writing up the experience because the MagicIDs shipping threads tend to be short on tracking-specific detail.

Shipping confirmation came with a tracking number on day fourteen of my order. The number activated on the carrier's website twelve hours after I received it — there was a gap between when the label was generated and when the carrier scanned the physical package. This is normal and not a sign that anything is wrong, but it did cause me to spend a few hours refreshing tracking unnecessarily before I remembered that label generation and package handoff aren't simultaneous.

First carrier scan was at the origin sorting facility, about eighteen hours after label activation. Second scan was at an international departure facility two days later. Then a five-day gap with no new events — the tracking page showed the package in transit but no location update. This is the part of international shipping that's the hardest to watch because there's nothing you can do and no information to act on. I confirmed with a few other recent MagicIDs threads that this gap is normal for this shipping route.

The package entered the destination country system on day nine after shipping confirmation. Customs processing added three more days without any new tracking events, then a domestic sorting event appeared, followed by out-for-delivery the next day, and delivery the day after that. Total transit from shipping confirmation to delivery was fourteen days.

Card was in good condition. No transit damage, packaging intact, card not bent or scratched. For anyone watching a stalled MagicIDs tracking link and wondering whether to escalate: based on my experience, the five-day international transit gap is normal. I'd suggest waiting until day twelve after shipping confirmation before contacting support, unless your tracking shows no events at all beyond the initial label generation scan.
