New vendor I tried - honest breakdown

Decided to test a vendor I had not used before. Placed a single order to evaluate quality before committing to anything larger. Sharing my full breakdown for the community.

How did the novelty card hold up to a UV light?

Appreciate the honest breakdown approach. Too many reviews are biased.

That's a smart move testing with just one order first. I did the exact same thing when I decided to give this new vendor a shot — didn't want to drop cash on a bulk order without seeing the quality firsthand. Figured I'd share the full breakdown in case anyone else is on the fence.

Ordering Timeline
I placed my order on a Tuesday afternoon. Paid with BTC, no issues there. Got a confirmation email within a couple hours with an order number and a note saying production would start the next business day. They shipped out on Thursday, so turnaround was roughly 48 hours from order to tracking. Domestic shipping took about 5 days door-to-door, which is pretty average for first class mail. Total from order to mailbox was exactly 7 days. Not lightning fast, but reliable.

Packaging Stealth
Came in a plain bubble mailer with a return address from a generic office supply store in a different state — nothing that'd raise red flags. Inside, the ID was sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard and wrapped in a thin foam sheet. No weird smells or extra inserts. The envelope itself was just thin enough to not feel bulky, but the cardboard kept the card from bending. I appreciate that they didn't use any branded tape or stickers. Discrete enough to pass as a replacement credit card or something similar.

Communication Speed
I reached out once before ordering with a question about template updates — got a reply within about 4 hours, which was solid. After ordering, I sent a quick follow-up asking for an ETA and they responded the same evening. No automated nonsense, just a direct answer. Their English was decent, a little bit of phrasing that gave away it wasn't a native speaker, but nothing confusing. Also didn't get ghosted at any point, which is always a relief with newer vendors.

VFM Rating
Honestly, for the price point I'd give it a solid 7.5 out of 10 on value. The physical build is decent — raised text is there, microprint is crisp, and the material flex feels close to the real thing. But there are some tiny color shifts on the UV layer that I noticed under a blacklight that keep it from being perfect. For a backup or casual use, it's absolutely worth it. If you need something that has to pass strict scrutiny, this probably isn't your best bet. But for what I paid, I'm satisfied.

Pros
Good communication — fast replies and no runaround. Nice stealth packaging — no obvious ID vendor vibes. Raised text is properly done, not just printed on. Order turnaround within 2 business days before shipping. Tracking number provided without having to ask.

Cons
UV layer colors are slightly off — noticeable if someone checks closely. No custom signature option, only a generic one. Shipping took 5 days, which felt a little long for domestic. The material has a slight gloss in certain lighting, not perfectly matte like real DMV cards. Only offers a limited set of states so far, so if you need something niche, you're out of luck.

Overall I'd recommend them for a trial run. It's not the cheapest option out there, but the quality is above average for a newer vendor. Just don't expect perfection on the first batch — you get what you pay for. So what state did you go with? Curious if it's the same one I picked or if you tried a different route.
