I was wondering the same thing a few weeks ago, so I figured I'd share my experience in case it helps anyone else. I did a fair bit of digging and ended up taking a chance on a vendor who specifically advertised Intellicheck compatibility. Here's the full breakdown — timeline, stealth, communication, and whether it actually works.
Ordering Timeline: I placed the order on a Monday evening and got an automated confirmation right away. QC photos came through about three days later — they looked clean, raised text visible, microprint crisp. I gave the go-ahead, and the package shipped the next day. Total time from order to doorstep was roughly ten days, which felt reasonable. No tracking was provided initially, but they sent it after I asked.
Packaging & Stealth: The envelope was a plain bubble mailer with a generic return address that didn't scream "ID vendor." Inside was a small cardboard insert holding the ID in a thin plastic sleeve. No extra paperwork, no flyers, no business cards — very bare bones. If someone opened it out of curiosity, there's nothing obviously suspicious about it. So thumbs up on the stealth.
Communication Speed: They responded to my initial questions within a few hours, which was pretty impressive. After the order, replies came in roughly a day apart. Not lightning fast, but consistent. They were polite and answered all my follow-ups about the material and the Intellicheck claim without being pushy. I'd call it a solid 7/10 — nothing to complain about, but room for improvement if you're impatient.
Value for Money (VFM): I'd give this a strong 8/10, honestly. The price was in the typical range for a quality ID — not the cheapest but far from the most expensive. Considering what I got — decent material, good print quality, and the fact that it seems to handle scanners well — I think it's a fair deal. You're paying for reliability, not just a novelty piece.
Pros: The ID looks good in hand. Raised text is there, microprint readable with a loupe, UV visible under a blacklight. The lamination feels solid, not flimsy. And most importantly, I've used it at a few places that use Intellicheck scanners — like a couple of clubs and a convenience store that runs the system. It passed every time without any hiccups. The scanner didn't flag anything, and the barcode scans clean. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on the specific setup and the bouncer's scrutiny, but so far I'm confident.
Cons: It's not perfect. The hologram alignment is slightly off-center compared to a real one — maybe a millimeter or two. Not a dealbreaker at a quick glance, but someone who knows what to look for might catch it. The raised text could also be a little sharper; it's there but not as crisp as the real thing. Communication during the order was decent, but there was a period of radio silence for about 36 hours that had me a bit worried. Also, the vendor doesn't offer any guarantees about passing Intellicheck — they just say it's designed to work. So you're taking a calculated risk.
Final Thoughts: I went into this hoping for the best but kinda expecting the worst. Honestly, it ended up exceeding my expectations for the price point. If you're specifically looking for something that stands a chance against Intellicheck, this vendor seems to have the right formula — at least in my experience. But I'd still recommend doing your own research and maybe asking for QC photos before committing. Every batch is different, and what worked for me might not work for you. Good luck out there.
