My crypto payment is showing as pending. How long until it confirms?

Usually a few hours max. Depends on network congestion

Yeah, I've been there. If your payment's stuck on "pending" or "processing" after you sent crypto, honestly don't panic right away. A lot of times it's just the blockchain taking a bit longer than expected — especially if you used a congested network like Ethereum mainnet or BSC when gas was spiking. The common symptom is the order page showing the payment as not received, but you've already seen the transaction go through on the explorer.

First thing you wanna do is check the transaction on the block explorer using the tx hash. Look for confirmations. Most vendors need a certain number of confirmations before they credit it — like 6 for BTC or 12 for ETH. If it's been less than 24 hours, just give it more time. Network congestion or a low gas price can delay confirmations. Also double-check that you sent to the correct address and on the correct network. Sending BEP-20 to an ERC-20 address will usually just disappear, unfortunately.

If it's been over 24 hours and still nothing, that's when you need to contact support. Have your transaction hash ready — that's the single most important piece of info they'll ask for. Include the order number and the exact amount you sent. Sometimes they can manually credit it if the system glitched. I've also seen cases where the payment was actually received but the site's status just didn't update, so they can push the order through.

For prevention going forward, always double-check the network and address before sending — like really look at it. Bookmark the payment page so you don't refresh and lose the address. If the vendor shows a timer, don't wait until the last minute to send. And when possible, use a coin with faster confirmations and lower fees — something like Litecoin or even a stablecoin on a fast chain like TRC20 can save you a lot of headaches.
