Photo got rejected twice - what am I doing wrong?

Really frustrated right now. I've submitted my photo twice and both times the vendor rejected it saying it doesn't meet requirements. Here's what I'm doing: - Taking photo against a white wall with good lighting - Shoulders visible, facing straight ahead - No glasses, no smile - High resolution from my iPhone 14 The rejection message just says "photo does not meet DMV standards" but doesn't explain what's wrong. I've looked at the photo guide on their site like 10 times. Is the white wall the problem? Should it be more gray/blue like actual DMV photos? My hair is kind of messy in the pics, could that be it? I really don't want to get rejected a third time. Can someone who's successfully submitted photos share exactly how you did it? Like step by step? Also is there a way to see examples of accepted vs rejected photos so I can figure out what I'm missing?

Common issues: bad lighting, shadows on face, wrong background color, not facing camera straight, or poor resolution. Make sure you have even lighting and a plain background.

Try taking the photo in natural daylight against a white or light blue wall. Make sure your whole face is visible, no shadows, and the camera is at eye level.

What did the vendor say was wrong? Usually it's lighting or background issues. Take it during the day with lots of natural light and use a plain wall as backdrop.
