Quick guide to KingOfFakes

I've placed three orders through KingOfFakes over the past year and put together this quick rundown for anyone who is still on the fence. My experience has been mostly positive, though there are a few things I wish I'd known before my first order.

Getting Started

The site loads reliably over both clearnet and their .onion address. Registration is straightforward — no invasive fields, just an email and a password. I've always used a dedicated ProtonMail address for this. After logging in, the order form asks for the state, photo upload, and any personalization details. The photo upload sometimes rejects images on the first try if the file exceeds the size limit, so I resize to under 2MB before submitting.

Payment and Queue

They accept Monero and Bitcoin. I've used Monero exclusively because confirmation comes faster and I don't have to worry about the transaction being traced. After payment confirms, the order moves into the queue. My three orders waited between six and eleven days before the status changed to "in production." One of them sat for the full eleven days without any communication, but when I messaged support on day ten, I got a reply the next morning explaining there had been a high-volume period.

Card Quality

The physical card on my most recent order was the best of the three. The overlay sat flush across the photo zone with no corner lift, and the microprinting on the back was clean enough to read under a 10x loupe. Previous batches had slightly softer background imagery, but this one looked sharper. The barcode decoded correctly on two separate apps, with all expected fields present and consistent with what was printed on the front.

One consistent weakness across all three orders: the UV layer in the top-right corner has been slightly patchy each time. It passes a quick check but shows uneven density if you hold the light at an angle for more than a few seconds. Not a dealbreaker for a collector piece, but worth knowing before you order.

Overall I would recommend KingOfFakes for anyone who wants a solid mid-range novelty card without the uncertainty of dealing with newer or less-documented vendors. Set realistic timelines, use Monero, and check the UV zone when your card arrives.
