Reprint policy question - update
So I wanted to drop a quick update about my experience with the reprint policy. I placed an order a while back, and honestly, the first one wasn't perfect – had a small issue with the lamination lifting on one edge after a couple of weeks of light use. I reached out to the vendor, and they offered a reprint under their policy. Thought I'd share how the whole process went, since a lot of people ask about that.
After I sent them a couple of clear photos of the defect and a brief explanation, I got a response within maybe 24 hours. Communication was decent – not instant, but they acknowledged the issue and asked for my shipping info again. They didn't try to argue or say it was user error, which I appreciated. I shipped the old one back (they covered return shipping – just a prepaid label), and then the clock started on the reprint itself. From the day I dropped the return at the post office to the day the new one landed in my mailbox, it was right about a week. So the timeline they quoted was spot on – no delays, no excuses.
Packaging was pretty standard – a plain bubble mailer with no return address that hinted at anything suspicious. Inside, the card was sandwiched between two thin pieces of cardboard and wrapped in a little bit of tissue paper. Nothing fancy, but it got here safe and undamaged. The stealth level was fine for domestic shipping – no customs concerns since it was a replacement within the same country.
Value for money on the reprint itself is kind of tricky to rate since they didn't charge me extra – just the original cost covered it. But if I factor in the hassle of waiting and having to return the first one, I'd probably give the overall experience a solid 7.5/10 on VFM. The reprint came out with better alignment on the holograms and the laminate seems more evenly applied this time, so the final product is actually better than the first one.
Pros: The reprint turnaround was fast – exactly one week from return drop-off to delivery. Customer service responded quickly and didn't give me the runaround. The replacement itself is noticeably improved quality compared to the first batch. And they covered return shipping, so I didn't lose any money on postage.
Cons: Having to go through the whole return process is a minor inconvenience – it would be nicer if they could just send a reprint without needing the defective one back, but I get why they want to verify. Communication was fine but not fantastic – replies were short and a little robotic, no personal touch. Plus, no tracking number was provided for the reprint shipment, so I was just waiting blind for that week.
Overall, I'm satisfied with how they handled the reprint. The policy seems legit and they stand behind their work. If you end up with a dud, it's not the end of the world – just be prepared to wait another week and a half total from first contact to reprint in hand. Hope this helps anyone wondering how the reprint process actually plays out in practice.
Contact support with clear pics of the issue. They usually handle it pretty fast
Got my order but theres a small issue with the photo. Has anyone dealt with reprints before? How does the process work?
