Quick review: RushDelivery IDs turnaround matched the hype

posted by thegoonies1632 10 months ago 1,043 views 5 comments
Finally got my RushDelivery IDs order in 9 days door to door. Photo print looks crisp and the barcode scanned at the campus store self-check. Hologram is a little muted under a flashlight but the colors look right. Packaging looked like a holiday card envelope and nothing rattled when I picked it up. Curious to see how it does at a busy bar this weekend.

Yeah, I've been eyeing RushDelivery for a while, glad you posted this. The turnaround time sounds solid — I might finally pull the trigger on their PA version. How was their customer service responsiveness leading up to the order? I'm a little picky about the microprint thing Reply 1 mentioned, so hoping they've dialed that in. If the vendor came through that quick, I'm sold.

Used RushDelivery at a Chicago club last week and the bouncer scanned it without even looking long. Bring a backup story and you will be fine.

So far the only nitpick is the corners are slightly more rounded than my real expired ID, but scans fine on BCS app.

How is the template for PA? The microprint around the photo box was the only thing that bugged me on my copy.

Yeah, I had a similar experience with RushDelivery last month. So I figured I'd drop a more detailed breakdown — their turnaround really does live up to the hype, but there are a few things worth noting before you pull the trigger.

Ordering & Timeline: I placed my order on a Monday evening, payment was confirmed by the next morning. After that, it moved pretty quick — they had it shipped out within 2 business days. From order placed to mailbox, it took exactly 10 days, which lines up with what you saw. The tracking actually updated smoothly, which was a nice surprise compared to some other vendors where the number stays dead for a week.

Packaging & Stealth: Came in a plain white envelope with no return address that screamed "ID." Inside was a simple cardboard sleeve, nothing fancy. No extra clutter or decoys, but honestly that kept the package low-key enough that it wouldn't raise eyebrows if your parents or roommates grab the mail. No smell of adhesive or plastic either, which I appreciated.

Communication: I shot them a quick message about a week in just asking for a status update — got a reply within about 4 hours. They were polite and straight to the point, gave me the tracking number again and said it was on track. Not the fastest response time I've seen, but definitely better than some of the bigger operations where you're waiting days.

VFM (Value for Money): Given the speed and the fact that the ID itself looks solid at a glance, I'd say it's a fair price. It's not the cheapest option out there — you could probably save a few bucks with a slower vendor — but if you need something within two weeks and don't want to gamble on a budget order, this hits a sweet spot. I'd rate it around 7.5/10 for value, mostly because the edge thickness issue knocks it down a peg.

Pros:

  • The turnaround is legit — 10 days from order to door? That's pretty rare in this game.
  • Front print and colors are crisp — no obvious registration errors, text is sharp, and microprint holds up under a loupe.
  • Holograms are well placed and reflect properly under light. UV looked good too, though I haven't scanned it with a reader.
  • Communication was decent — they actually answered when I had a question.

Cons:

  • Edge thickness is the main one. As you mentioned, some batches feel a bit flimsy compared to a real ID. Mine was close but not identical — you could feel the difference if you actually handled it side by side with a legit one. Didn't cause any issues for me, but it's worth checking before you go out. I had to be a little careful bending it out of the envelope.
  • The lamination has a slightly different feel — a little more plasticky than the real thing. Again, casual glance and touch it's fine, but if someone scrutinizes it they might notice.
  • No duplicate included — some vendors throw in a second for free or a discount, but this was just the single ID.

Overall, tbh, I'd say it's a solid pick if you're okay with the minor thickness variance. Mine passed all the casual checks I ran it through — no bouncer has called me out yet. Just give the edges a good feel when you get it, and if it's too thin you could try a lamination trick or just be aware of it. I'd order from them again if I needed a quick backup.
