Sent three messages over two weeks and got no response. Dealt with this situation twice now across different vendors. Here is what actually works versus what makes it worse.
Check multiple channels first
Most vendors have more than one contact method. The on-site message system is the primary one, but most vendors also have a public presence on Telegram, Reddit, or a dedicated forum where they respond to support questions. If the on-site channel is not producing responses, try the Telegram channel with your order number and a one-line question. Vendors often monitor their public channels more attentively than their on-site inbox.
Timing of follow-up
Sending a second message 24 hours after the first is premature. Most vendors operate with 24 to 72 hour response windows. A second message sent before that window closes pushes your original message down in the queue rather than bumping it up. Wait at least three business days before a follow-up. Send one follow-up, not multiple.
What to include
Order number at the top. Exact question. Date of original message. Three sentences total. A short, clear message shows respect for support team time and is more likely to receive a substantive response than a long message expressing frustration. Even if you are frustrated, the message should be neutral in tone — angry messages get deprioritized.
After two weeks of silence
Two weeks without any response across multiple channels is a signal of vendor availability issues — they may be on a production break, have staffing problems, or the site may be in the process of going offline. At this point, check recent vendor reviews on trusted forums to see whether others are reporting the same radio silence. If so, this is a vendor operational issue, not a queue delay, and you may need to explore reshipping or dispute options depending on your order status.
