Since I see this question come up a lot, I wanted to make a comprehensive comparison of vendors currently offering Texas IDs from our vendor directory. I've personally ordered from 4 different vendors over the past year and can share my experiences. **Vendor A** ($120) - Check their profile - Quality: 7/10 - Shipping: 3 weeks - Communication: Good - Pros: Affordable, decent quality for the price - Cons: UV features are weak, scans but some advanced scanners detect it **Vendor B** ($165) - Quality: 9/10 - Shipping: 2.5 weeks - Communication: Excellent - Pros: Great UV, passes most scanners, perforations are clean - Cons: Pricey, can be slow during busy periods **Vendor C** ($95) - Quality: 6/10 - Shipping: 4 weeks - Communication: Poor - Pros: Cheapest option - Cons: No UV, feels too thin, wouldn't trust it at strict places **Vendor D** ($140) - Quality: 8/10 - Shipping: 2 weeks - Communication: Average - Pros: Good balance of price and quality, fast shipping - Cons: Signature sometimes looks weird, colors slightly off Personal recommendation: If budget isn't an issue, go with Vendor B. If you want best value, Vendor D is solid. What are other people's experiences? Anyone tried other Texas vendors from our trusted list? Also check if there are any active coupon codes before ordering!

Great breakdown! I've used Vendor B twice now and completely agree with your assessment. Worth the extra money for sure. The attention to detail is impressive. One thing I'd add is that Vendor B also has great duplicate pricing if you order 2+ IDs at once. Sometimes they post discount codes too, so check before ordering!

Yeah, so one thing with Texas – they updated their template in late 2023. So like, you'll wanna make sure whatever vendor you pick from our verified vendor list has the latest one. Older templates might still scan, but honestly, they'll look kinda off to anyone who knows what to look for. You know?

I mean, from what I've seen, like, both Vendor B and D have the 2023 template confirmed, pretty much. Not sure about the others, tbh. You'll probably wanna check the recent reviews to verify, though, you know?

I tried Vendor C based on the low price and regretted it. The ID works at gas stations and stuff but I wouldn't trust it anywhere that looks closely. The template they use is outdated - it's based on the 2019 Texas ID, not the current 2023 version. Lesson learned: don't cheap out. Read the reviews carefully before choosing.

Thanks everyone for the additional input! I should have mentioned - this review is based on orders from Q4 2024 through now, so relatively recent. @user13 good point about the template. Vendor A and D both confirmed they use 2023 template. Vendor C definitely uses old template which is part of why I rated it lower. For anyone looking to order, definitely browse our full vendor list and read multiple reviews before deciding!

@user6 I ordered from that vendor about 2 months ago. Quality was good, maybe 8.5/10. The main issue was shipping took almost 5 weeks. When it finally came though, the ID itself was solid. UV features were on point. I'd rank them between Vendor D and Vendor B in terms of quality. Left a detailed review on their vendor page.

This is helpful but be careful posting direct vendor names like this. Better to link to their pages on our vendor directory. That said, I can confirm Vendor B is top tier for Texas. Used it successfully for over a year now. Their customer service is also excellent if you have issues.

Has anyone tried IDBOOK for Texas? I've seen them mentioned a few times on the vendor list but can't find detailed reviews. They're priced at $155 which seems competitive with Vendor B.
