Vendor sent wrong template - how they fixed it

Got a prop that was clearly the wrong state. Reached out with photos and they reshipped the correct one within 8 days. No drama, no argument. That is how it should work.

Did they let you keep the wrong one too?

A vendor who stands behind their work is worth keeping.

Always document with photos the moment it arrives. That is your leverage.

So I wanted to share my experience with a recent order that went sideways but ended up okay. I placed an order for a specific template — usual process, sent over the details, paid, and waited. When the package arrived, I opened it up and immediately saw they'd sent the wrong state layout. Different font spacing, wrong hologram placement, the whole thing. Pretty frustrating, not gonna lie.

I shot them an email right away with a photo showing what I got versus what I ordered. Their response came within about 12 hours, which I thought was decent. No runaround, no blaming me — they just said "our bad, we'll get a reship out." They asked me to destroy the wrong one and confirmed the correct details again. That was on a Thursday, and they said the reship would go out the next business day.

The reship actually landed 8 days after they sent it. That's from the moment they gave it to the carrier to it hitting my mailbox. For a cross-Atlantic reship, honestly I was expecting closer to two weeks, so 8 days felt quick. The original order had taken about 11 days, so this was actually faster. Maybe they upgraded the shipping method to make up for the mistake, or maybe it was just luck — either way, I'll take it.

Packaging on both shipments was standard stealth. Vacuum-sealed inside a cardboard mailer wrapped in some bubble wrap. Nothing fancy but nothing suspicious either. No labels or markings that would raise eyebrows. No decoy items or extra layers, just straightforward but discreet enough. Passed the sniff test for domestic mail.

Communication throughout was solid. After the initial acknowledgment, they sent me a confirmation when the reship went out with tracking, and then a follow-up asking if everything came through correctly once I confirmed delivery. Not too many messages, no spamming, but they were there when I needed them.

Value for money? I'd say it's fair. Considering I got a wrong template initially, I was pissed, but they fixed it without any extra cost or hassle. The reship being fast and the communication being smooth brings the overall experience up. I wouldn't call them the cheapest option, but the price is reasonable for the quality. The actual product itself — the corrected one — was well done. Good color matching, crisp UV feel, correct placement of microprint. For what I paid, including the mistake recovery, I'd give VFM a solid 7/10.

Pros: Quick reship turnaround at 8 days, responsive customer support that didn't argue the mistake, good final product quality, and they gave me tracking without me having to ask. On the flip side, the initial order was completely the wrong template, which wasted almost two weeks of my time. No partial refund or discount was offered for the inconvenience — just a standard reship. Would've been nice to get a little something extra for the hassle, but at least they fixed it without drama.

Overall, I'd say this vendor is decent but not perfect. Mistakes happen, and how a vendor handles them tells you more than a perfect first order. They handled it well — fast reship, good communication, no excuses. I'd consider ordering from them again, just maybe double-check my order confirmation next time.
