Vendor went silent on my order — what I did
Honestly, that’s a rough spot. I’ve been there — vendor ghosted me after payment, and the biggest worry wasn’t just losing cash, but ending up with a barcode that throws the wrong data when scanned. If you get a file that looks right but fails checksum validation or scan as under 21, it’s basically dead on arrival. Best advice: before you escalate, run your file through a free barcode reader and check the PDF417 string format yourself. That way you can document exactly what’s broken and potentially dispute the charge with proof it’s not AAMVA compliant.

A vendor I had used successfully before to buy a fake id stopped responding to messages after I placed my fourth order. The order showed shipped in their system but the tracking number for the scannable id never activated. It took six weeks to resolve. Here is what the process looked like.
First two weeks
I sent one message at the two-week mark asking for a tracking update. No response. At three weeks I sent a second message on a different contact channel — most vendors have both an on-site messaging system and a public Telegram or email address. The second channel got a response within 48 hours. The support team said the tracking number had been issued in error and the package was delayed in production. Expected shipping date was adjusted by two weeks.
The lesson about multiple contact channels
On-site messaging systems can have technical issues, high volume backlogs, or get deprioritized by small vendor teams. If you have been waiting more than a week for a response through one channel, trying another is reasonable. Most reputable vendors have an active Telegram channel or public contact listed on review threads that functions as a fallback.
Escalation
After the package still had not shipped at the revised date, I asked directly whether a refund was available if the order could not be fulfilled. This is the appropriate escalation at that stage. The vendor processed a replacement order under expedited production rather than issue a refund — their preference — and the replacement novelty id arrived within 10 days.
The key threshold
Most vendor guarantees operate on a 30 to 60 day timeline from payment. Before that threshold, you are in the normal variance range for vendor production and shipping. After it, you have a legitimate claim for either reshipping or refund. Escalating at week 3 of 5 is premature with most vendors. Escalating at week 6 or beyond is appropriate regardless of explanations offered.
