Yeah, honestly, I've run into this exact issue way more times than I'd like to admit. You're trying to reset a password or verify a new account, you click "send reset link," and then… nothing. No email shows up in your inbox. The first thing that usually fixes it for me is checking the spam folder. I know it sounds too simple, but a lot of forum or vendor sites send those automated emails from addresses that haven't been whitelisted yet, so they land straight in spam. I've missed a few resets in there myself, especially after a site updates its mail server or changes its sending domain.

Before you go down a rabbit hole of clearing cookies or disabling extensions, here's what I'd do step by step. First, make sure you're using the exact email you registered with. Then check your spam or junk folder. If you still don't see it, search your email for the site's domain or a partial subject line like "reset" or "verify." Some email clients automatically filter out certain senders even without marking them as spam. If the email is in spam, mark it as "not spam" and click the link. If it's not there at all, try requesting the reset again after waiting a few minutes—some sites have cooldown timers to prevent abuse.

Once you find it and complete the reset, a good prevention move is to add that sending address to your contacts or create a filter to always send emails from that domain to your inbox. That way, if you ever need another reset or a confirmation link later, it won't get eaten by the spam filter again. Also, double-check that your email address is still valid and not full—sometimes a full inbox can bounce automatic emails before they even reach your spam folder. It's a little thing, but it saves a ton of frustration down the road.
