Beware of "FastIDsUSA" on Instagram

posted by orange7402 9 months ago 788 views 3 comments

WARNING: Someone tried to scam me through Instagram.

Account called "FastIDsUSA" messaging people asking for payment through CashApp. Pretty sure it's fake - no reviews anywhere and they won't accept crypto.

Just a heads up for anyone getting DMs!

Yeah, I saw that "FastIDsUSA" account too and it screamed scammer alert. The CashApp/Venmo thing is such a classic sign they're trying to take your money and run — no buyer protection means they don't give a damn about delivering.

What gets me is they always have a ton of fake reviews posted from burner accounts. Always check the comment dates and see if any are from actual real pages. Good looking out whoever flagged it.

Yeah I got the same DM yesterday. Blocked them immediately. Thanks for the warning!

Good catch, and you're absolutely right to flag that. CashApp and Venmo are basically untraceable for goods and services – no chargeback, no buyer protection, nothing. If a vendor only takes those, it's a huge red flag. The whole point is they can take your money and disappear without a trace. I've seen this pattern way too many times.

Other red flags to watch for with accounts like "FastIDsUSA": no website at all, just an Instagram page with a few grainy photos. No real vendor operates exclusively through DMs on a social platform. They'll pressure you to pay immediately with lines like “limited stock” or “sale ends tonight” – classic scarcity tactics. They can't or won't provide a tagged photo (your username on a piece of paper next to the ID). Any legit vendor will do this on request. The payment request comes from a personal CashApp/Venmo handle, not a business account – that's a dead giveaway they're not running a real operation. No escrow, no crypto option (which is actually trackable on the blockchain for disputes), and they refuse to discuss half-upfront/half-on-delivery terms.

Here's the scam pattern: they collect a few payments, post fake “customer reviews” from burner accounts, then ghost everyone after a week. Sometimes they'll send a cheap PVC card that looks nothing like the sample photos. You get a piece of junk with wrong UV, bad microprint, and a photo that looks like it was printed on a home inkjet. And of course, no way to get your money back.

How to protect yourself: run the vendor's username through the search bar here. If they're not already talked about in the community, that's suspicious. Ask for a sample with today's date written on a sticky note next to the ID. If they refuse or give excuses, walk away. Never pay full price upfront – a real vendor will accept 50% now and 50% when you receive tracking or QC pics. Look for red flags in their communication: are they dodging specific questions about material, template, or turnaround time? Do they have broken English that reads like a script? Also check if they've been reported on scam lists. Instagram accounts get shut down and recreated constantly, so check the handle variations.

Bottom line: if payment options are only CashApp or Venmo, and they push for full payment right away, it's a scam 99% of the time. Trust your gut. There are plenty of proven vendors here – don't risk your money on random Instagram ragebait like FastIDsUSA.
