Is there a discount for ordering multiple states?

posted by piratera 6 months ago 640 views 5 comments

Curious if ordering IDs from two different states in one order gets a price reduction compared to two separate orders. Anyone have experience with multi-state single orders?

Yeah, asking directly is the way to go. I've had good luck bundling a few states together and just paying the whole thing with BTC to keep it clean, though you definitely want to use a decent wallet and don't use Coinbase if you can help it. Some vendors are a little more flexible when you offer that payment method, too. Just confirm if they can ship everything in one package.

Yeah, totally agree with asking directly. Most vendors are pretty flexible if you're doing a decent-sized order. I'd also recommend using something like a group buy to split costs if you're with others — way easier. Just make sure you go with an escrow service safety check if you're dropping real cash upfront. And tip: PayPal or Zelle payment method is usually smoother than dealing with Western Union transfer hassles.

Even without a formal discount, shipping costs less per piece when combined.

Multi-state single shipment also means less overall exposure from multiple separate deliveries.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed that most vendors are open to cutting you a deal when you're ordering multiple states at once. From what I've seen, the discount usually works out to something like a flat reduced rate per additional piece, or sometimes they'll just knock off a percentage of the total. Honestly, it really varies, so asking directly is the smartest move — don't just assume the listed price is locked in.

One thing to keep in mind with pricing — cryptocurrency payments can eat into your savings if you're not careful. Bitcoin and Ethereum transaction fees fluctuate like crazy, especially during network congestion. I've had a deal where the crypto fee alone was almost as much as the discount I got for ordering three states. If the vendor offers Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, or even Monero, those tend to have lower fees and faster confirmations. Always factor in that network cost when calculating your final price.

Another big piece of advice — use escrow if the vendor offers it, especially for larger multi-state orders. A lot of marketplaces have built-in escrow, but even if you're going direct, it's worth asking if they can split payment or hold funds until you've received all the pieces. Trust me, I've seen too many people lose their entire order because they paid up front in full and the vendor ghosted or sent subpar stuff. Escrow gives you some leverage, and a legitimate vendor won't have a problem with it.

Hidden fees are another gotcha you'll want to watch for. Some vendors advertise a per-ID price but then tack on "shipping per piece" or "handling fees" that add up. When you're ordering multiple states, ask for an all-in quote upfront — total cost including shipping, any packaging extras, and the crypto network fee if they process it on their end. Also, don't be surprised if they quote a discount but then charge extra for custom state-specific details like UV or raised seals. Always clarify what's included.

In terms of general pricing, you'll see per-ID costs drop noticeably once you hit 3-4 pieces in a single order, and sometimes even more steeply past 5. It's worth comparing a few vendors because some have a flat discount structure — like 10% off each additional — while others do a tiered volume discount. But as the original said, the best deals come from directly asking and being upfront about what you need. Good luck!
