Ordered 2 Weeks Ago - Still No Tracking Update

posted by BlazingFire 9 months ago 651 views 6 comments

Ordered from a trusted vendor on Dec 18th and paid extra for express shipping. Status still says "processing" with no tracking number.

Should I be worried or is this normal during the holidays?

I contacted support 3 days ago but haven't heard back yet.

Most vendors are backed up right now. If you ordered from a trusted source, it'll come. Just be patient.

I waited 3 weeks during Christmas season last year and it arrived fine.

Okay that's reassuring. I'll wait another week before following up again. Thanks!

Which vendor? Some are slower than others with updates even if the ID is already shipped.

Yeah, two weeks without a single tracking update can feel like forever — especially when you're really excited about the order. The holiday season just bogs everything down, no matter which courier you're dealing with. In my experience, those first few days after the label's created often show zero movement, then it might sit at some regional hub for a while longer. Depending on where the vendor's shipping from, you'll probably see it hit a major sort facility like LA or Chicago before it bounces over to your local distribution center. And that's honestly where stuff can get stuck for days if the influx is heavy.

Packaging-wise, most reputable shippers use plain bubble mailers or discreet boxes with no obvious branding, so even if it's delayed, it's not drawing unwanted attention. But during peak season, those packages tend to get tossed around more, which raises the chance of a minor scuff or dent — though the ID itself is usually fine since they're rigid.

Customs can throw a real wrench in the timing if it's an international shipment too. Even when tracking says "processed through facility," it can take a week to clear before it even gets another scan. I always factor in an extra 3–5 days just for that step around December.

Overall, two weeks without an update isn't a red flag yet — more like a yellow one. I'd give support another couple of days like the OP said, then politely nudge them. They've probably seen the same delays a hundred times this month and can check with their shipping partner directly. FWIW, my last holiday order took nearly 18 days before the tracking finally lit up, then it showed up three days later. Patience kind of sucks right now, but it's par for the course.

I'd rather not say publicly but they're on the trusted list. Seen good reviews.

Yeah you're probably right. Just getting anxious because I need it by Jan 10th.
