Financial separation

Crypto purchased with cash from a Bitcoin ATM or via a non-KYC P2P exchange, stored in a wallet not associated with your identity, and sent directly to a vendor creates a payment chain that does not start from your financial identity. This is more work than buying crypto on an exchange in your name, but for privacy-sensitive purchases it changes the risk profile meaningfully.

Small purchases do not necessarily justify all of this. Match the effort level to the actual risk in your situation rather than implementing maximum complexity for every transaction.
