Yeah, that's exactly how it went for me too – no signature, just dropped off like a regular package. Honestly, it's nice not having to worry about missing a delivery or chasing down a redelivery slip. I guess it depends on the carrier and the specific service selected, but if yours is coming through the standard postal stream (like USPS or similar), first-class or priority mail often defaults to "leave if safe." Definitely beats having to sign for it, especially if you're not home during the day.

As for packaging, mine came in a plain bubble mailer – nothing flashy, no return address that'd raise eyebrows. The envelope was thick enough that you couldn't feel anything through it, and it survived the trip without any dents or tears. I've heard of people using a cardboard sandwich or extra padding for more fragile stuff, but for a standard ID this was perfectly fine.

Transit-wise, it went through a couple of regional distribution hubs before hitting my local post office. Tracking showed it moving along at the usual pace – nothing delayed, nothing early, just your typical 3-5 day domestic trip. For international orders, I'd imagine customs might hold it a bit longer, but since there's no signature required, they usually process it as regular letter mail. No need to sign a customs declaration form or anything. It just slips through the system quietly.

Overall shipping speed was exactly what I'd expect from this type of service – no complaints, no surprises. If you're trying to decide between a method that requires a signature and one that doesn't, I'd honestly go with the no-signature option every time. Less hassle, less chance of a missed delivery, and it still gets there just as fast. Just make sure your address is correct and your mailbox is clearly marked. That's really the only thing that can cause issues.
