Signature required? - thoughts?
Honestly, I was kinda surprised when mine just showed up in my mailbox. No knock, no signature – nothing. I guess the seller or whoever shipped it took a risk and just dropped it with the regular mail. Worked out for me since I've got a house with a locked box, but I could see it being a problem if your mailbox isn't secure or you've got a communal setup.
As for the courier, it came through USPS – pretty standard for domestic stuff. It went through a regional hub about two hours away, then hit my local post office. So the transit was quick – maybe three days after the label was created. Packaging was just a padded envelope, nothing fancy, but it held up fine. No dents or tears, which was a relief given how much these things get tossed around in sorting machines.
I didn't have any customs issues since it was domestic, but if yours is coming from overseas, definitely keep an eye on tracking updates from border hubs – those can really slow things down. Overall, shipping was solid. No delays, no holds – just a smooth ride into my mailbox. If you're worried about signature requirements, it depends on the carrier and the sender. A lot of times vendors waive the signature to avoid failed attempts, especially if they trust the packaging and your area.
Just keep in mind – if it's left in the mailbox and gets stolen, you're pretty much out of luck. I got lucky this time. Next time I might ask for a signature if I'm feeling extra cautious, but for a quick and quiet delivery, the mailbox drop worked great.
No signature needed. They just leave it like any other mail
Does delivery require a signature or do they just leave it?
