Signature required? - thoughts?
Mine was in my mailbox when I got home
Yeah, in my experience they don't require a signature at all. Honestly, it's treated pretty much like any other standard mail. The vendor I used just drops it in a plain bubble mailer and sends it via regular First Class or Priority Mail — whichever gets it there faster. No signature confirmation, no adult signature, nothing like that. It just shows up in the mailbox or left by the front door if it doesn't fit.
As for transit hubs, it'll go through the usual regional sorting centers along the way, so you might see a few scan updates at distribution points depending on the carrier. That part's totally normal. The packaging is usually nondescript and durable enough to survive a trip in a sorting machine — I've never had one arrive damaged. They tend to use a standard 5x7 or 6x9 bubble mailer with no obvious markings on the outside. Just a return address and a stamp or label.
Customs-wise, since it's domestic shipping (if you're in the same country), you don't really have to worry about inspections or customs delays. If it's international, that's a different story — they might require a signature depending on the destination, but for domestic orders it's always been left without a problem. Speed-wise, it takes about the same time as any other letter or small package. Nothing special, nothing slower. So yeah, no worries about having to be home to sign for it. They just leave it like any other mail.
Regular first class mail, no signature
Does delivery require a signature or do they just leave it?
