PSA: Dont use sites you find through random google ads. Lot of scams out there

Stick to verified vendors that people actually review

Yeah, I honestly can't stress this enough — always check for reviews before ordering anywhere. But it's not just about seeing if there are reviews. You gotta know how to spot the fake ones too. A lot of scam sites pad their feedback with accounts that have, like, only one or two posts, or reviews that all say the same generic thing like "great service, fast shipping." Real reviews usually have a mix of minor complaints, specific details about turnaround time, and sometimes even photos that aren't just stock images.

I've picked up a few concrete red flags over the years. For starters, if a vendor only accepts crypto or gift cards with no escrow option, that's a huge warning sign. Legit vendors understand the risk and usually offer some kind of dispute resolution or at least a track record you can verify. Then there are sites that have been up for less than a month but already have hundreds of glowing reviews — that's often a pump-and-dump pattern. And if they're promising impossibly fast turnaround or prices way below everyone else, they're either cutting corners or planning to take your money and run.

Another common scam pattern is those "too good to be true" IDs that look flawless in the sample photos but end up being blurry, wrong state formats, or have obvious template errors. Some scammers will even send you a different product than what you ordered, banking on you not wanting to deal with a chargeback. And exit scams? Totally real — a vendor will build up a good rep for months, then disappear with everyone's payment during a busy period.

So how do you protect yourself? Honestly, start by cross-referencing reviews across multiple forums. Don't just rely on a vendor's own site. Look for users with a history of posting in the community — not brand-new accounts. Search for the vendor name plus words like "scam" or "review" to find any hidden complaints. If you can, do a small test order before committing to a bulk buy. And always use escrow if it's offered — that's your safety net. Those few extra minutes of research can save you from losing your money and your info. Stay safe out there.
