Tracking not updating - advice needed

Yeah, I totally get that panic when tracking goes dark for days — seriously, feels like the package just vanished off the planet. But honestly, mine did the exact same thing and it turned out totally fine. Way more common than people think, especially with international orders.

For me, the tracking showed nothing for almost four days after it left the origin country. Then out of nowhere it popped up at a regional distribution hub on the other side. I think what happens is some couriers only scan at major transit hubs and kind of skip all the smaller intermediate stops. If it's going through a busy customs facility like Chicago or LA, packages can sit there for a bit without any update. The system just doesn't trigger a scan until it clears or gets handed off to the next leg.

Packaging-wise, I was worried because mine was just a padded envelope. But when it finally arrived, the envelope was intact — a little wrinkled from being rattled around in the mail bins, but no tears or damage. They usually wrap the ID inside a stiff cardboard insert or between two pieces of plastic, so it holds up fine even if the outer layer takes a beating.

As for customs — mine cleared without any red flags, but I didn't get a scan saying "cleared customs" either. It just went from "in transit" straight to "arrived at destination hub." So don't rely on seeing those customs milestones. Sometimes it's just a black hole until the local carrier picks it up.

Overall, shipping speed was actually decent — took about 10-12 days from order to door. The anxiety from that tracking gap made it feel way longer, but the total transit time was totally within normal range for this kind of thing. My advice: if it's been more than a week with zero updates, then maybe reach out to the vendor. But a few days of silence? Totally normal. Just give it time to move through the system.
