WARNING: FakeIDStore.com is a Scam - Lost $200

posted by vman1462 9 months ago 1,312 views 6 comments
I'm posting this so others don't make the same mistake I did. I ordered from FakeIDStore.com (not to be confused with legitimate vendors) and it was a complete scam. **What Happened:** - Placed order on November 28th for $200 (2 IDs) - Got order confirmation email immediately - Website showed "In Production" for 2 weeks - Status changed to "Shipped" on December 12th with fake tracking number - Tracking number doesn't exist in any shipping system - Tried contacting support - all tickets get auto-closed - Email support doesn't respond - Their "live chat" is just a bot **Red Flags I Ignored:** - Website was only a few months old - No reviews on trusted forums - Prices were suspiciously low - Too-good-to-be-true promises ("48 hour shipping") - Payment was only through Bitcoin (no refunds possible) I tried doing a chargeback but since I paid with crypto, I'm out of luck. $200 lesson learned. **PLEASE stick to verified vendors on the trusted list. If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.**

I'm going to add this to the scam vendor list. We need to keep that list updated so newbies don't fall for these sites.

Thanks for posting this warning. I almost ordered from them last week but something felt off. Glad I waited.

Man, I'm really sorry this happened to you. Losing $200 stings, I know. But honestly, this is exactly why this community exists — to call out these garbage sites so the next person doesn't get burned. FakeIDStore.com isn't a verified vendor, and that alone should've been a dealbreaker. If you didn't check the verified vendor list pinned at the top of the sub, that's your first lesson: always, always start there.

Let me break down the red flags that should've screamed "scam" before you sent a cent. For starters, any site that doesn't accept escrow or a reputable payment method like BTC with some buyer protection? Huge warning sign. Real vendors usually have a trail of positive reviews, multiple forum shout-outs, and a presence across a few different ID communities. FakeIDStore.com? Zero organic buzz — google the name and you'll only find reports like yours. Then look at the website itself. If it's a basic template, has misspellings, or offers "free duplicate" or "100% guaranteed" nonsense without any real tracking or proof of previous orders, run. Scammers prey on people who are in a hurry and don't want to do the research.

The typical scam pattern? Here's how it goes: you place an order, send payment (usually through a method that's hard to reverse), get a generic confirmation email, then silence. Maybe they string you along for a week with "processing" updates, then ghost. Or they send you a fake tracking number that never updates. Some even send a cheap piece of plastic that looks nothing like the sample, just to buy time before they disappear. It's a well-worn playbook, and FakeIDStore.com is clearly running it.

So how do you protect yourself? First off, use the verified vendor list — it's there for a reason. Then search the vendor's name here and on any other ID forums you can find. If you see nothing but warnings or brand-new accounts hyping them up, it's a trap. Also, ask for proof: real vendors will show you batches with a handwritten sign or a specific timestamp. And never pay more than you're willing to lose; escrow or a trusted middleman is your best bet. Keep screenshots of everything — the site, the payment, all messages — and report it to the mods so they can add the name to the blacklist.

Thanks for sharing, man. You took the hit for the rest of us. This is how we keep each other safe. If anyone else is thinking about ordering from a site you can't find talked about in the community, stop and ask first. We've all been there. Better to wait a week and be sure than to flush your cash down the toilet on some shady domain that'll be gone next month.

Appreciate that. If my $200 mistake saves someone else from getting scammed, at least it wasn't completely wasted.

Bitcoin payments are convenient but this is exactly why you need to research vendors thoroughly first. No recourse if something goes wrong. Always check vouches and reviews.

I didn't... I found them through a Google search and thought they looked legit. Stupid mistake. Should have checked here first.
