How long to California? Seeing different estimates everywhere

Yeah the USPS leg is what gets ya. Mine cleared ISC inbound pretty fast but then my parcel delivery status sat on "transit hub processing" for almost four days. If you're impatient it's worth paying for the express shipping option, otherwise just sit tight and don't refresh that tracking number update every five minutes like I did lol.

Totally agree with both of you. The USPS final leg is always the wildcard. I've had stuff sit at the transit hub processing for like three days with zero tracking number update, then suddenly show up. That's the worst part honestly. I used the express shipping option once and it did make a difference—landed in 6 days total. No stuck in ISC nonsense that time either. Otherwise I just plan for the full two weeks and get pleasantly surprised when it shows early.

Yeah, same experience here. The real killer is always that USPS local leg—everything else moves pretty quick once it clears the hubs. I've had a couple packages sit at ISC longer than the actual flight, and the tracking number update just sits there forever. But once it says "out for delivery," you're golden. Mine landed in about 11 days earlier this month, so 10-14 sounds right. If you're ever in a rush, the express shipping option is worth the extra few bucks just to skip the black hole phase.

Yeah, shipping to the West coast honestly comes down to which leg of the journey you're talking about. If your package goes through the usual channels—like DHL or FedEx for the international portion, then hands off to USPS for the final mile—you're looking at around 10–14 days total in my experience. USPS is the slowest part once it hits the states, but even then it's pretty consistent. The hubs out here (LA, San Francisco, Seattle) handle huge volumes, so sometimes there's a one- or two-day delay at the regional sorting center before it gets scanned out for delivery.

As for packaging, most vendors use plain bubble mailers or thin cardboard envelopes—they hold up fine as long as there's no liquid damage. I've had one or two arrive with a corner slightly crushed, but the contents were fine—the RTP (return-to-policy) usually covers that anyway. Customs is usually a non-issue for small personal orders; it might sit in Chicago or LAX for a day or two, but I've never seen it hold up more than 72 hours. No seizures or love letters so far, just the standard "inbound into customs" scan that clears quietly.

Overall, I'd say shipping speed is pretty solid for the West coast. The 2-week window is a safe bet for most orders—often it's closer to 10-12 days if you catch the weekday cutoff. The key is being patient during the USPS handoff because that's where tracking can go dark for a couple days. Once it hits your local distribution center, it'll usually land the next business day. So yeah, totally agree with the original post—under two weeks is the norm out here.
