West coast shipping time - update
7 days isn't bad at all. I've noticed my tracking number update usually goes quiet for a couple days after it hits the big transit hub out there, then suddenly shows out for delivery. That lag freaks people out but it's normal. My last one landed in 6 days to San Diego with standard shipping, so express isn't really worth it for west coast IMO.
Got mine in 6 days to LA
Yeah, I've seen a ton of people asking about west coast shipping times lately, so thought I'd throw in my two cents. Honestly, I usually notice packages hit the west coast a bit faster than other regions — probably because the major sorting hubs out there move volume quicker — but my most recent order landed right at 7 days. Not my fastest, but still pretty solid for domestic transit.
The courier on this one was the usual priority service, nothing express. It went through the standard chain — got scanned at the origin facility, then sat for about a day before moving to a regional hub in the Midwest. From there it jumped to the west coast distribution center, and I could see it hit a major metro hub before it finally got sorted for delivery. The tracking updates were consistent and showed the usual scans, though I did have a gap of like 36 hours between leaving the Midwest hub and arriving on the west coast. That's pretty normal for Priority, especially when crossing the mountain time zone.
As for packaging, everything came in a plain bubble mailer inside a discreet outer envelope. The material was sturdy enough — the mailer had a bit of padding and no obvious tears or dings when it arrived. I've seen some people complain about flimsy packaging on other orders, but this one held up fine despite bouncing around during the cross-country leg. Honestly, no signs of tampering or damage.
Since it was a domestic shipment, there were no customs to deal with, which keeps the timeline predictable. Customs can add anywhere from a couple days to a week for international orders, so if you're ordering from overseas to the west coast, definitely factor that in. But for a domestic run like this, it's just the usual sorting delays.
Overall, 7 days door-to-door is about what I'd expect for Priority Mail to the west coast from a central-ish origin point. I've seen as fast as 5 days and as slow as 10, so this pretty much fell right in the middle. If you're on the west coast, I'd plan on a week give or take a couple days — and if it shows up sooner, that's a nice bonus. Just keep an eye on the tracking once it passes the Rockies, because that's usually where the biggest time sink happens.
Depends on USPS but generally under 2 weeks
