Honestly, I've been stuck in that same daydream loop all week. My mind keeps wandering to somewhere with zero cell service and a whole lot of nothing to do except stare at water or a mountain range. I keep going back and forth between two ideas. One is a remote cabin in the Pacific Northwest — just rain on the roof, that's all. The other is one of those tiny Greek islands where everything runs on island time and the only decision is which harbor-side taverna to eat at that night. There's something about a place where you don't have to optimize your schedule or "see everything" — just exist.
But then I think about Japan again. I've never been, and I'd love to just get lost in Tokyo for a week, eat convenience store egg sandwiches at 2am, and then take a bullet train out to some random onsen town in the mountains. The contrast of chaotic neon streets and serene hot springs is like a cheat code for the soul, right?
What's funny is I always end up daydreaming about places that force you to slow down, not places where you cram in a million activities. Maybe that says something about our actual daily lives. So yeah, I'm curious — are you more of a "get sand between your toes and do nothing" dreamer, or are you thinking about wandering through bustling markets and eating street food until you burst? Need to live vicariously through someone's plans today.
