What's everyone's craziest story using their ID?
Haha that Vegas story is killer, but honestly mine's still the one that keeps me up at night wondering what the hell happened. So I'm at this club, right? Nerves are already through the roof 'cause I'm trying to look cool while reaching into my wallet. I had the fake tucked behind my real ID like you're supposed to. But in that split second when the bouncer holds out his hand, my brain just short-circuits. I grab the real one and hand it over without even thinking.
Mid-handoff I realize my mistake and my whole body just freezes. I'm already reaching back like "oh wait, wrong one," trying to swap it out, but he's already got it in his hand. He looks at it, looks at me, and then just cracks up laughing. Straight up laughs, hands it back, and waves me in. I didn't even say anything, just walked past him completely dumbfounded. I was still 20 at the time too, so like, my real ID was clearly underage. I still don't know if he thought I was being funny, or if he just didn't care, or whatever. Maybe he clocked the fake and was, like, messing with me? Either way, I spent the whole night paranoid he was gonna come find me and kick me out. Never happened. Honestly still think about that bouncer sometimes — dude was a legend for no reason.
