I ordered a Texas novelty card from IDGod on July 3, 2026, after comparing a few prop samples people had posted in older review threads. My goal was a display piece for a road trip themed corkboard, not anything I would carry around. The first thing I cared about was whether it felt recognizably Texan without looking like a cheap souvenir from a gas station rack.
My Texas Notes
The card I received leaned into a restrained state look. The background color was warm, the layout had enough open space, and the name block did not look crowded when I photographed it beside a map of Austin. I liked that the portrait area looked staged and fictional. That matters to me because a prop card should not invite confusion with a real person's document.
On July 10, I put it next to two older convention badges and a reproduction motel key. The Texas piece held up visually because it had a quiet official tone rather than loud novelty colors. I would call it one of the better Texas themed props in my binder, mainly because the vendor did not overdecorate it.
If someone asked me what to look for, I would say to judge the ordinary collector details: clean spacing, sensible color, readable print, and clear novelty context. I would avoid any seller who talks about real world use. For my forum rating, IDGod did fine on this Texas sample, with seven days from order note to delivery and no dramatic claims in the messages. My other prop cards have similar stiffness, but the Texas piece handles light differently — the warm palette means it photographs without harsh reflections.
