Best Vendor for California IDs in 2025?

posted by CoosCoss 9 months ago 1,319 views 4 comments
Looking for recommendations on the best vendor for California IDs right now. I know CA is one of the harder states to replicate. Who's got the best quality in terms of hologram, UV, and scanning? Budget is around $150-200. Thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone! I'll check out Evolved IDs first since multiple people recommended them. Appreciate the help!

Whatever you do, avoid FakeyourDrank for CA. Their template is outdated and doesn't have the raised text feature. Stick with Evolved or OIF like others mentioned.

Yo, I've been seeing a ton of people asking who's got the best CA right now, so I figured I'd throw in my two cents. Honestly, after trying out a few different sources over the years, I gotta say Evolved IDs has been absolutely killing it with their California fakes lately. I grabbed one about a month ago and it's been my go-to ever since.

So, about the build quality. The card material feels super legit – it's got that same slightly flexible but firm polycarbonate feel that the real CA licenses have. Not too plasticky, not too flimsy. The lamination is clean, no bubbles or peeling edges. And the raised text on the front (like the "DOB" and "EXP" fields) has that subtle tactile feel that's hard to replicate, but they nailed it.

The microprint is spot on, tbh. I looked at the tiny text around the ghost image and the California state seal under a loupe – crisp and readable, no blurring or smudging. That's usually a dead giveaway on lower-tier fakes, but Evolved has got it right. Same goes for the fine line work in the background artwork – sharp and continuous.

UV light response is where a lot of fakes fall flat, but not this one. Under a blacklight, the California poppy and the "CALIFORNIA" text across the middle fluoresce perfectly – bright, clear, and the right shade of blue/white. No weird blotchiness or dim spots. It's consistent across the whole card. I've been to a couple of bars where they actually check with a UV light and it's passed every time without hesitation.

The OVI (optically variable ink) on the gold bear image and the "CA" in the corner shifts nicely from gold to green when you tilt it. Honestly, it's got that smooth transition, not too abrupt like some cheaper inks. The color-shift is convincing and matches the real deal.

Let's not forget the perforations – they're perfect. The tiny micro-perfs for the birth date are clean and round, no ragged edges, and they're positioned exactly where they should be. I've seen some fakes where the perfs look like pin holes, but these are done right.

Overall, I'd give this CA ID a solid 9/10, tbh. It's not flawless – no fake is – but for the quality and passing rate, it's as good as it gets right now. If you're looking for a California ID that'll hold up at bars, liquor stores, and even some clubs, Evolved IDs is the move in 2025.

I'd recommend checking out OldIronsidesFakes too. Their California template is one of the best I've seen. A bit pricey but worth it if you want something that'll last.
