Does the CO hologram look right? The mountain detail seems tricky to replicate

Yeah, I've been checking mine out too and totally agree on the microprinting clarity—it's sharp as hell on this one. The tactile feel is also pretty spot on; doesn't have that plasticky vibe most fakes do. Makes the whole thing look 1:1 compared to the real deal I've seen around. Good to hear someone else confirm it holds up under a closer look.

I've been checking mine out too and the microprinting clarity on this version is honestly impressive. That's usually the dead giveaway for me. Also the tactile feel actually matches up pretty well with what I've seen on real ones. Not sure how they pulled it off but it's solid work. I gave it the bend test too and it passed without feeling flimsy like some older batches did.

So I finally got a chance to really put that Colorado mountain hologram under the microscope, and honestly? This is the best version of that element I've seen yet. The level of detail is spot-on compared to a real CO license I was able to compare it against side by side.

The mountain outline itself is crisp—no bleeding or blurring at the edges, which is usually the first thing that gives a fake away. The peaks transition smoothly with the right amount of gradient, and the fine lines inside the mountains are actually there, not just some muddy blob. I checked the microprint along the bottom of the hologram area (the tiny "Colorado" text that runs in a line) and it's readable under a loupe. Not perfect—the spacing is slightly tighter than the real thing—but close enough that you'd have to know exactly where to look and what magnification to use.

UV response is where a lot of these fall short, but this one surprised me. Under 365nm, the state seal and the little "C" shape light up in a bright greenish-yellow that matches the real deal's color. The brightness is maybe 90% there—slightly dimmer than genuine, but still very clear. No weird hotspots or uneven glow. The background doesn't fluoresce, which is correct. I didn't test 395nm, just to be upfront.

OVI color shift on the main state outline (the gold-to-green ink that changes when you tilt it) is actually decent. The shift goes from a coppery gold at 0 degrees to a pale green at 45 degrees. Not as dramatic as the real thing—the genuine Colorado OVI has a sharper transition and a bit more metallic sheen—but it's present and you can see the color change without squinting. No weird rainbow artifacts or oily looking patches, which is a win.

Card material feel is another area that's been hit-or-miss with CO fakes. This one has that slightly flexible but rigid polycarbonate-like feel. Not too flimsy, not too stiff. The edges are smooth, no sharp corners. The lamination layer on top gives it that subtle plastic sheen that real CO IDs have. If I had to nitpick, the card is maybe 0.1mm thicker than an actual license, but it's not noticeable unless you're stacking them.

Overall, I'd give this one a solid 8.5 out of 10. The hologram is the standout feature—easily the best I've handled. Microprint and UV are strong, OVI is good but not perfect, and the cardstock is above average. If the OVI shift was a little more defined and the microprint spacing matched exactly, it'd be a 9.5 easy. But for what it is, this is a very solid CO replica.

Its pretty good. Under normal lighting you cant tell
