Florida ID 2025 - Major template changes you need to know

posted by vman1462 9 months ago 1,073 views 4 comments
Florida just updated their ID template in January 2025 and there are some significant changes that affect fake IDs: **NEW FEATURES:** 1. **Hologram repositioning** - The state seal hologram moved from center to upper right 2. **New UV pattern** - Added a wavy line pattern under UV that wasn't there before 3. **Updated ghost image** - Now includes more facial detail, harder to replicate 4. **Different microprint** - Changed from horizontal to diagonal lines 5. **Laser engraving depth** - The tactile features are now deeper and more pronounced **What this means for buyers:** Older Florida templates from 2024 and earlier are now outdated. Bouncers are being trained on the new template. If you're ordering a Florida ID, make absolutely sure your vendor has the 2025 version. **Vendors with updated templates:** - ✅ OldIronsidesFakes (confirmed) - ✅ IDGod (updated as of Feb 2025) - ❓ LostIdentification (not confirmed) - ❌ Many smaller vendors still using old template If anyone has ordered a Florida ID recently, please share which vendor and if it has the new features!

Does anyone know if the old template will still work? Or are bouncers cracking down hard on the old version?

Old templates might work at lenient places but I wouldn't risk it at strict venues. The hologram position change is pretty obvious if someone knows what to look for. Better to get the updated version.

I ordered from OISF 2 weeks ago and received it yesterday. Can confirm it has all the new features you mentioned. The UV pattern is spot on and the laser engraving is deep and clear. Used it last night without issues.

This is huge info, thanks for posting. I was about to order a Florida ID but now I need to make sure the vendor has the updated version. Can anyone confirm if LostID updated their template?
