Florida ID Review - KingForge (November 2025)
Yeah, I’ve been running KingForge’s Florida for a little over a month now and it’s definitely one of their better releases. The template update from a few months back really cleaned up some of the wonky alignment issues the old one had. I’ll try to snap some UV pics later tonight, but I can already say the UV is solid — bright enough under a 365nm light, the state seal and “FLORIDA” ghost text pop clearly without being washed out. I haven’t tested under a 395 yet, but from what I’ve heard it holds up fine.
Microprint is where this ID really shines. The “STATE OF FLORIDA” line inside the flower pattern on the back is crisp, no noticeable bleeding or broken letters. The stadium seat pattern text around the birthdate is also readable under magnification, which is a huge step up from some of the earlier batches I saw floating around. I’d say it’s about 95% accurate compared to a real FL — there’s a tiny weight difference in the font on the back microprint, but you’d need a loupe and a side-by-side to catch it.
The OVI is decent but not perfect. The “FLORIDA” and the sunburst on the front shift from copper to green at a standard viewing angle. The transition is smooth, but the green leans a bit darker than a genuine license — more like a forest green than the bright lime you’d expect. Under direct light it still catches the eye, and most bouncers aren’t going to pull out a reference card to compare shades. The color-shift works well enough in dim bar lighting.
Card feel is surprisingly good. It’s not as stiff as a real Florida, which has that thick Teslin feel with a slight flex. KingForge’s laminate is a bit thinner and more plastic-y, but it’s not flimsy. The edges are clean, no rough spots, and the surface texture is matte with just a hint of gloss. I’ve seen worse from other vendors charging double. The laser engraving on the back feels slightly raised, which is common on these — nothing a light rub over with a cloth can’t dull down.
Overall I’d give it a solid 8.5/10. It’s not a perfect, unscannable god-tier ID, but for the price point it’s one of the better FL reps right now. If you’re in a state that doesn’t have crazy strict bouncers or UV checkers, this thing will pass 90% of the time. Just don’t flash it under a cop’s flashlight during a traffic stop. The template update really tightened things up, and I’m curious to see if KingForge keeps iterating on it.
